I know Jalan Bersah there got one shop selling wood pieces. It is next to the coffeeshop that sells the famous S$2 laksa. I went down to the hobby shops in fook hai building, seems like that place is full of RC equipments, saw a lot of planes and helicopters and saw some with boats Rc and so on. So might be going down again sometime this week. I think I need some flexible plywood for the boat bottom hull, or hoe should I make it with slight bend? I should get those flexible types right? Thanks for suggestions.

Thanks for suggestions. Use thin plywood for areas that u require bending. And use superglue to tack them in place. Superglue in r/c is called CA. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyanoacrylate Cyanoacrylates are used to assemble prototype electronics (see wire wrap), flying model aircraft, and as retention dressings for nuts and bolts. Their effectiveness in bonding metal and general versatility have also made them popular amongst modeling and miniatures hobbyists.

If you require hobby tools and machine, go basement, SGtooling. Look for Mike, also my fren. Tell him Adrianli recommend. Very useful tool in hobby is the rotary tool. It cuts, grinds and drills. Dremel is a very good brand.

I will be going down to check on the radio controls and equipments and also some wood if they have, otherwise I will have to ask my teacher where I can get the plywood from. Provided that they are not too expensive thou

5936 1st Gear June 6, 2011 Share June 6, 2011 (edited) Besides MPA, If my info is still current, there are 2 private oil spill response company in Singapore. One handles only oil spill- EARL. Another handles oil and chemical spill- SOSRC. All shipping /terminal operators in Sg must have arrangement with a 3rd party professeional responders. EARL has more oil spill equipments to operate at rough seas. But alot of their skimmers & pumps were hydraulic driven. While you are testing it, do use thicker oil. Low viscosity light oil cant stick onto skimmers. But may be yor design can handle both. Edited June 6, 2011 by 5936
