local sets are the one approved by IDA, tend to cover shorter distances and fewer channels tho legal for use in SG.

 

Either way, keep the units till u cross border.

Walkie Talkie approved by IDA is based on PMR 446 frequency. Similarly PMR446 is also approved to be used in Malaysia.

If you dun have it, dun worry i will pass my contact no. on the day itself. As the distance is short, I wun be expecting ppl to do toilet breaks and breaking away from the convoy.
