Pchmj Clutched June 28, 2011 Share June 28, 2011 Population increase -> high demand for housing, both HDB and private (from PR) -> high price for all housing due to limited supply -> HDB tagged new housing price to private and call it subsidy -> crazy price we see now. If the root problem (population boom) is not solved, price will continue to go upwards. If there's a crash in housing price, there will be many people (existing owners) jump down from their HDB. It's a irreversible change so for the general younger generation who still had not get their own flat (like me) are screwed, no way to solve. Is my analogy correct? ↡ Advertisement

Achtung7 Neutral Newbie June 28, 2011 Share June 28, 2011 Do not allow public housing to be sold on the open market... if current HDB owner wanna sell, sell back to HDB, which will resell at subsidized price to another applicant... ↡ Advertisement
