they have reached an agreement to increase rhe debt limit but curb future spendings

USD is likely to drop, Interest rate will not go up (sh!T), I dont think there will be any significant impact if you live in Singapore

Well still not enough.. The cut in spending is very little as compared to what US government spend in past few years. So by comparing that, the cut will need to be a lot more. And by right if cutting spending a lot more. Debt ceiling will not need to raise, as US can rise income tax, and interest rate and collect more $. To raise debt ceiling is = to more debt.. and currency crisis in US going to come very soon.

US holds 9000 ton of gold, which they never use a single ounce to repay their debt. They just print more fiat paper to pay everyone. I am beginning to suspect the Lehman collapse meltdown was engineered to play "paper money inflation" game.

It's a more sinister form of financial warfare since every one holds USD as part of their country's reserves.

Very soon when world realize that is not sustainable and now need to wait for China to do the right thing and the rest well follow.. and rest assured, that will cause collapse of USD.

Simple question, would you accept RMB as a reserve currency?

Currently only Iran doesn't keep USD as reserves, all the country's reserves in either Euro or Yen.

Like I said, US holds 9000 ton of gold. PRC holds 1000 ton of gold. Say the US bankers allow the dollar to collapse (forced everyone to write off their debt), China's 3.2 trillion will go up in smoke.

China's only practical retaliation, is to nationalise all US MNCs on Chinese soil.

Kinda stupid to buy property during inflation.. 1st property is already overprice.. and by buying over price property during inflation, one gain nothing.. and worst is when property bubble burst.. jia lat.. best way to curb inflation is to invest in gold or sliver.

if you make a lot of USD and want to hedge against inflation (wealth protection), buying gold and silver is logical

but if you want to make money, more logical to use USD as a carry trade currency

US is just trying to create global financial panic to hold the world ransom. They can print/inject a trillion dollars during Quantitative Easing to bailout bankers, they can't raise their debt ceiling?

Of coz. It collapses, then u got no one to pay to! U got a free home!!

actually not... someone will take charge of the bank assets inclusive of yr loan and sell the loan to another bank at a lose to recoup the $$.

the $$ will then be repay to the debtor.
