the fact is not many pple notice good drivers..who gives a hoot and remember the nissan sunny who gave way to u..same thing when working..pple only look to criticize bad bosses

i'd remember a good driver when i see one. Today i met one polite guy driving a Mini in a crowded carpark, gave way to me to park in a lot despite him being earlier there than me. Asked him if he wanted the lot, and he said he waiting for friend, let me park first since i'm alone. One car behind was horning us while we were discussing.

After i settled my business and came back, he's still waiting, i exited the lot, and he went in. Glad to meet good and patient drivers around. Thank you my friend, you made my day a happier one [wave]

In Singapore context, a gracious driver who gives away to the car in front, will be honked and regarded as a bad driver by the car behind. [laugh] [laugh]

haha.. see my previous post, you kinda hit it right on about the horning part [:p]

don't let that stop you from being good. I experienced that sometimes too. I just treat those crazy horny guys or girls as if they are telling us "way to go, man~!", and the louder they horn, the more shiok i'll feel. It's something called reverse psychology, like during wedding, people horn cars to celebrate [laugh]

I disagree..I have had pleasant experiences with Scoob drivers..sometimes even at car grooming centres they are friendly and will share the mods they are doing..but for Honda drivers..really..bad experiences all year round..streams and civics..especially those in black or white colours....

Also met a haolian FN2R driver recently at a car wash..

what he do ar?

Sorry, but I think this thread is absolutely misleading and ahem...stupid. How can someone define a dangerous driver with a dangerous car? What categorise a car 'dangerous' in the first place? <_< Higher hp = more dangerous? Bigger body = more dangerous? Or Super low hp = more dangerous due to possible road hogging chances? It's crazy...

Sorry TS, a potential dangerous driver can be driving any car. To me, I define a dangerous driver as someone who drinks and drive...someone who street race often for the kick...someone who is using hp while driving...someone who is unaware of the surrounding...etc etc. Too many to list. If you look at the examples I listed here, it can be any car make. Be it Chery QQ, be it Taxis, Corollas, Rex, EVOs, Lambo, Ferraris etc...as long as someone displaying one of the characteristics / actions that I listed here is driving it..then it's DANGEROUS.

To stereotype a particular make to dangerous drivers is just plain stupidity. Sorry, but it's my personal opinion. No offence.

You are absolutely right, it make no sense to categorise the make of the car.

But too bad all insurance companies do that.... make and model of car equals base premium... [shakehead]

Not really. Do you find two different persons of different age and profile, are quoted the same premium for the same car of same make and model ?

actually Conti drivers now start to piss ppl more...

hahaha example the Audi club...

cant stand the members inside boasting about their Atas events...

jealousy... maybe but i still see alot of other rich conti drivers remaining very low profile...

these are the ppl i truly respect...

on FB, u see guys taking pic of their rides...

"oh, look at the temperature outside"

but actually u can see the model of the car...

dam....

Hehe... Like i said, "base" premium, different profile and NCD are what makes up the rest. Actually from experience, common profiles like executive, admin, etc doesn't make much of a difference unless job is more outdoor style, which requires driving often. It's usually the NCD that makes most bulk of the difference. Do correct me if i'm wrong though [:p]

they are not quoted based on make and model la.

age and profile also helps.

my wrx, if i put myself as main named driver: i pay 8k

if i put myself as Secondary named driver with main driver under my grandfather, its around 3.5k.

so its not only about make what.

if not, my grandfather would be paying the same price as if it were to be put under my name.

assuming your grandfather is more than 80 years old, it will be kinda cool looking at your grandfather drive a WRX [laugh]

Yeah, I know this to be true mate. Got a couple of friends in the Porsche club and they drive like all hell broke loose! Max Respect to them for driving the car like it's meant to be driven [nod]

True, quite a few Porsche drivers like to 'chiong' when it's safe (I'm including myself [laugh] ) but this is fairly model-specific. 911, Boxster, Cayman - definitely. Panamera - far less prevalent. Cayenne - almost never.

There are "auntie" and "uncle" Porsches, too, you know, with drivers to match. [:p]

A related observation (or sweeping generalisation) - there are more Lambo drivers having serious FUN out there than Ferrari drivers. Also, almost every Aston driver I've seen (not many of them, of course) seems like they "just wanna have fun", like in the Cyndi Lauper song. [laugh]
