Drove a manual Citroen berlingo for 5 yrs, finding a good w/s for maintenance outside is a problem. Visited AD many times on clutch issue n in the end still unable to solve. Engine is very good, but power window spoiled easily. Parts r difficult to find n spark plug cannot anyhow use. Handling is good tho but long run is headache.

Ford Focus...fun to drive, high depreciation and most second hand unit have high mileage which could mean its high reliability.

But its FC is average to my understanding.

In ur list, I will go for Ford Focus. Other than that I will go for a VW.

Hmmm....just a question and being curious.

Between Ford Focus and a VW, which one would you go for?

Impossible to get lesser than paper value.

You might as well go scrape it yourself.

Browsing thru Fiat forum singapore... seems like about 3 workshops in singapore are preferred to service the car... other workshop cannot do normal service meh?

VW! No point thinking that the price of COE is too high to buy now, what really matters is if you can afford just go for it. The current COE price is not even close to the price in the 80s or early 90s. COE at $10000 is a steal, not a norm.

Normally after test drive, you can short list 1 and 2 models that you like. It is very personal ego and taste, no point to ask other ppl. Instead, you should focus on the doubts if there is 2 models you like. If only one model, bingo you have the answer.

totally agree

1. Citroen DS3 - tested before. Surprisingly perky ... was told same 1.6L engine as the mini cooper ... rear row can swallow 3 avg 1.75m 85kg guys comfortably ...

2. Ford Fiesta - never test before, but like one bro says - if u can afford focus, why consider festia.

3. Peugeot 207 - never test before, but I guess it's rather cramp at rear bah.

4. Renault Megane - old model as well ?

5. Ford Focus (No test drive units available) - like one bro says - old model liao ....

renault megane
