Davidklt Supercharged October 15, 2011 Share October 15, 2011 (edited) Talk about suits, I once tried a tailor in Shanghai, sorta for fun. The suit costs me only 700 RMB only which is less the SGD150. The material aside, I was surprised. The workmanship I found was even better than some of the top tailors here. Compare to my other suits which cost much more, that is still my fav suit. Edited October 15, 2011 by Davidtkl ↡ Advertisement
Meanmachine Supercharged October 15, 2011 Share October 15, 2011 Can pm me the details of this otel tailor or share it here with us? :-> U mean BKK otel? It's Amari Watergate, 2nd floor( Operated by a sikh family ) & Centara Grand Otel, ( behind WTC ) the tailor is perched on mid-level together with reception check-in counter, it at the right corner, only tailor shop with one travel agency. Pricing wise, only a little more, good quality and workmanship, U get real value. p/s: assuming a 3 days stay in BKK< once check-in, take a good shower and go to my tailor shop, choose material, design and cutting, they take measurement and ask U to come back tmr and try-on ' fit ' , till U are satisfied, once firm they will deliver to oyur otel room. For 1st timer, a small deposit is required, full payment upon delivery. I make half a dozen shirts/pants, 1-2 suits@ one go, ( last me 20-26 months ) the cycle continues . . . Yeah Shanghai is pretty good value too, U can have all brand label to be included as well, Dunhill, Ferragamo, Zenga, they go it. But they usually used wool for their weather here, here a little too hot under the collar. Going up next yr march. will check it out !! THx

Ultramega 1st Gear October 16, 2011 Share October 16, 2011 Tried both Personality and dreamland. Not too bad but both are not to my liking. Personality is more modern style and Dreamland is old style. Both not my style Men's Tradition is the worst of the three. I wont recommend any becos it's personal. however Oxford at OUB does quite a good job. Yes i recommend Oxford too. The young boss Alex is fashionable and is very aware of the latest trends. Ultramega 1st Gear October 16, 2011 Share October 16, 2011 European called it Otel instead of Hotel, kinda w/o pronouncing the 'H' Even if they pronounce it otel, don't think they spell it this way right? For a moment i thought the forum banned the word or something.
