Passing through ERP gantries without being deducted?

TS is lucky that his IU is able to bypass the ERP.

Maybe the IU number was mistakenly keyed as VIP exempted IU.

Best to keep quiet and enjoy the silence.

I have encounter this a couple of times, passing through some gantries but cash not deducted. Doesn't happen to all gantries and it's quite irregular. Been happening for over a month and no letter from LTA? Should I sent my unit for inspection or act blur and wait for things to happen?

act blur is a good idea. On second thought i think you post thread here cos you always go past the gantry but its not on. I think you better own up and pay up fine.

ya, i gt put in cashcard ma, gt sufficient value inside, just that i am not sure why they could not sense anything and the long beeep sound.

haha, so did you try to appeal?

Normally i will play safe to remove and insert the cashcard as i have tried once with card not inserted properly.

No letter so far so I don't really care. I went into the gantries at a very irregular interval. So I have totally lost track at which one didn't deduct. Just worried that a bomb will drop someday...

I doubt so bro, it happens on and off, a same gantry can deduct and don't deduct, so I'm also confused.

Neutral Newbie

I had similar experience. Just received a Non-payment for ERP charges. ($2 ERP charge + $10 admin charge)

My cash card with sufficient fund was in the IU. All the while working @ car parks. This morning the ERP gantry did not deduct the charges.

Wrote an appeal letter for them.

Most likely will be asked to go STA inspection again. Been to STA several times, always tell me to change Cash card. But this cards work well @ car park but not some ERP gantries.

Just find it strange that we have to go through all the problem to resolve all these technical issues that are beyond our control.

And they still want to charge $10 admin fee?? Should LTA be charged for all the trouble caused?

Kena before and went for inspection after getting the letter.

Turned out that our IUs has a warranty of 5 years.

Once warranty over you have to pay to get it fixed or change to a new one at your own cost.

BTW my case was a case of the old cashcard without the sun logo and it had warped over time thereby could not function properly.

The IU warranty was told to me by the tech at the inspection centre.

After knowing RFID project recently, I guess 99.99% ERP detection definitely no issue.

The ERP gantry detection zone is overlapped. It is almost impossible to pass undetected.

Check your usual ERP gantry operating time. Possibly the charges has changed due to school holiday period or recent adjustment.
