Hi Bros,

 

I just changed my headlights to HID 8K. But the alignment of the beams are off..

 

Can any kind bros advise where to seek help to focus the beams properly?

 

My Stream's user guide mentioned to seek the workshop technicians help to do this and not to do this ourselves, but my headlights are now aftermarket HIDs... Dun think Kah Motors will hew me after this...

Haha..true..but tried to redeem himself by asking how to adjust the angle...but I believe if they're retrofit HID on reflector headlamps it will still glare all over the place though...

HID is designed to throw the light directly and not deflected.....hence the over bright lights

the throw distance of yellow light is definitely more superior to white light when intensity is on par. furthermore, scattering of white light is more pronounced when driving through the rain which is something you don't want. Be warned.

W.R.T this, I failed my inspection due to my high beams (H1) being too yellowish (3000K). Luckily I have spare bulbs in my car and I changed back to not-so-yellow bulbs..

From what I know, FD Civic reflector headlamps (1.8L and above) are designed to use HID as the 1.8L and 2.0L Civic comes with HID from factory. Not sure about Stream though.

Civic n RSZ Stream factory fitted HID. Lta allows factory fitted HIDs. It's not the lights but how it's used that irritated u.. I've seen yellow lights adjusted so high they look like permanent high beams..

 

Nonetheless, I'm appreciative of your comments n hope to have other bro's useful advice on beam adjustment so as not to irritate others.. Cheers..
