Stamford tyres sales

Any good buy from there?

Last time I went there they recommended me slippery tire, with many near accidents due to extra car length braking distances (wet and dry roads). Many/all used car dealers know about Falken Sincera tire, cheap and slippery. Never believe their recommendation anymore, do your own research first before you buy tyre.

Nvr like falcon tyres. I stay pretty near went down yesterday nothing much. Think most of the accessories got 20% off though. Bought a glaco zero for $12.

Not bad luh. My car tires were due to change so i popped by there yesterday afternoon.

Changed my tires to Falken Ze912 for $85 per piece. Tire size 195/55/15, DOM 1411

Overall it's a very good deal

That price looks impressive to me. What about the date of manufacture? Normal for tire to be sold off the shelves within certain numebr of years.

Its manufactured on the 14th week of 2011... Considered fresh baked this year for the price I paid

I believe that is a good deal. Most tire should not be used beyond certain years after the manufactured date. Beyond which there is greater risk of delamination, carcass failure (swelling like mosquito bite/tyre burst...)

Agreed. I have bought tyre from both before.

The good thing about stamford is they offer complimentary lifetime tyre patching and tire balancing/rotation (one time)

If both selling at same price, stamford has the better deal

Before they patch your tyre, you will be given a 5 min lecture on how dangerous that tyre can be during high speed.

They will suggest you change it, all the time.

Been there, done that...

Wonder how long can Stamford hold up...

so far no such experience from them, always patched up and no question asked

The only time was that the damaged was on the sidewall which they told me cannot be patch

but they always asked me to change rim when i sent in for balancing but i ignored them :D

I am ok with Stamford tyre. bought my falken tyre 195/55/15 earlier this year, 80 per piece. They did not mention free patching, but I do get free rotation, for twice, every 10000. I bought at the Loke Yang tyre mart, and the service crew their are quite nice. Not sure about the workmanship though, since I can not tell :P
