This car is slowly growing on me... Pin code is an excellent feature. Everytime I drive to a running event, like one bro here, I have to put the transponder in a small zip block, and put in my back pocket as my pant get soaking wet after the run.

A nice extra feature to have. 5 numbers combination PIN not easy to guess it right lah.

However, only leave your key in the car if you are only away for short while or the car is in your sight. Dun think anyone will leave the key in the car overnight. Furthermore, who knows your car key is in the car if you never tell? Hee hee....

Oh ya... those bros who have gotten the COE last round, got the car collection date already? My SE just informed me 1st week of Apr..

yup eta 1 wk april

My dark blue pearl is about ready sometime next week.. btw anyone installed power magic pro together with blackvue cam by MI?

I got the blackvue free when I bought the car. Then during one of the servicing got them to install the magic power pro.

Neutral Newbie

In this age of modern car technologies, for your type of short car journeys with plenty of start/stop plus your concern on FC, the ideal type of car is the hybrid.

You will smile from ear to ear with the FC of such cars compared to others for your type of usage.

Too bad XV hybrid not available in Singapore.

Perhaps, if you not afraid of dealing with PI, can consider Vezel Hybrid?

I cancel vezel due to pi n hrv due to price too high & Thailand made, compare w bezel. So end up with XV, Qq or maybe New Suzuki solio (coming). But not likely solio cos the space might be to cramp behind (wait to see). So now back to XV n QQ.

I think for your type of car journeys, both XV and QQ will be not as good as your old Altis.

They are both have only Altis-type of engine HP and yet heavier than Altis.

For good FC, both XV and QQ only do well when cruising.  That's when their CVT will be at highest gear and engine running at lower RPM that uses less fuel.

As long as you have a realistic expectation that SUV fuel economy will not be as good as sedan, and still prefer SUV to sedan, then choice is yours as to which SUV to pick.

In this forum, of course, our choice is XV for the areas that it is good in.

Really hard to have best of both worlds. N I'm only askin for driving modes in xv.. That b all I need to make xv a more engaging ride despite engine capacity.

I have no experience with an Elantra so I cannot speak for or against its performance. But part of what makes XV so attractive is the almost ridiculously low pricing compared to its competitors.

Vezel - $94,000 (Basic), HR-V - 110,999

Vitara - $108,000

Kuga - $135,888

Cactus - $102,988

Juke - $99,888

QQ- $103,988

Tivoli - $111,000

There is only 1 that has a listing price lower than the XV and is still higher than what I secured at [sunny]

So my point is that to give what you want, they wouldn't be able to offer it at this price. If you can afford the extra premium, they have the Forester XT which should be plenty fun.
