Ruennchai 1st Gear December 5, 2016 Share December 5, 2016 Just went for 40k service today. The free service included change of engine oil, brake oil, differential oil and gearbox oil. Also throttle and sensor cleaning plus all the usual rotate and balance of tires. In addition, after checking they recommended change of battery (mine is 1 yr and 10 mths) and front brake pad (apparently worn to 3-4mm). Battery (amaron) cost 230 and brake pads 216 before GST. I think brake pad can't do outside if warranty is a concern. Hi bro, Change battery outside cost only $170 amaron too https://www.batteryempire.sg/amaron-car-battery-pricings-list/ For brake pad buy from AE subaru malaysia (facebook) only RM130-160, they can ship to sg i guess. I am using their brake pad, is good! no dif from the stock one. MI only suck your hard earning money! Fuelsaver Supercharged December 6, 2016 Share December 6, 2016 Hi bro, Last time I followed MI suggestion to do the aircon flush.. end up, the aircon compressor leak... change and cost me 800++!!! Don't do it! Bro u mean after flush, next 1-2 days AC comp kaput? No leak or other defects? I suspect they may use too much pressure? I think the common saying of if not broke don't fix it applies to AC n all sort of flushings.. Iirc few mentioned after engine flush encounter gasket leak or other issue.. Don't do it! Happen to my old Sylphy G11 model. Tan Chong advise me to wash the aircon coil in situ. End up the coil leak , I.e. hissing sound when switched on. End up have to change the aircon coil. Kangadrool Supersonic December 29, 2016 Share December 29, 2016 Which is why certain things cannot be too clean. Another example is engine flush... Just regular change will do, never flush. Try cleaning the storage tank of your toilet cistern... It will leak thereafter. ↡ Advertisement
