Imagine you are the motorist in front of this trailer at this moment and you hear the sharp screeching sound of it jamming break behind you... [sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

Lorry speeding on right lane of BKE is a hazard to other road users

STOMPer Serene thinks the driver of this lorry, who was speeding on the right lane of BKE during peak hour, is a hazard to other road users.

She says:

"This was taken just after the Dairy Farm exit on BKE last Thursday (Jan 12) at around 7am.

"The driver of the trailer was also speeding during peak hour and I wonder where our traffic police were when this happened.

"A hazard to other road users and very inconsiderate."

I think what the STOMPer is saying is that these trailers should never be on Lane 1.

Maybe moments before it was speeding?

Any impact by these mechanical mammoths on other road users will be deadly if they are uncontrollable in Lane 1 [sweatdrop] [sweatdrop]

there are many speeding lorries.... TP enforcement is very lacking, untill some VIPs or their family members are hit/injured maybe we will see some actions from the enforcement team, otherwise, business as usual [:(]

A bit off topic but a lot of time I see those trailers their signal & brake lights are not working. I try to avoid following behind them. You may never know until it's too late.

This vigilante Stomper can only LLST, peak hour traffic is slow. What else can he do other dan kpkb on Stomp?

Come to the far west and sometimes you get see tour buses or coaches or private buses fetching workers plying on lane 1 faster than road speed limit.

Sometime I fear for the passengers inside these buses. [sweatdrop]

Buses and coach still ok... those lorries ferrying workers are worse.. these workers are in a much higher risk..

[thumbsup] Well done by the semi-trailer driver. It appears that the semi-trailer had managed to avoid rear-ending those in front that jammed brakes by serving into Lane 1 (defensive driving technique demonstrated).

So sorry, the stomper may not be a qualified driver. Hence the error in appreciating the situation.

The trailer needs longer braking distance than the car in Lane 2. If the car jammed brakes. The trailer got to served into the vacant Lane 1 to avoid hitting the car. We should be thankful for the defensive driving by the alert trailer driver (no casualty, no damage).
