They cannot, and is not allowed to adopt local citizenship. China will not let this happen. Also, we have to pay to get in to see them of course, and must buy those panda merchandise. Else, where got so much money to import those special leaves that they eat every other hrs? As everyone says, they are VVVIP, so we are cannot ill treat them. so, everything must be as 'local' for them as possible. therefore, I suppose the zoo have to airflown their diets from China every other week. So, the chinese zoo probably making tonnes from selling leaves. They can loan u the panda longer, if you wants to. At least they build a new theme park to put these 2 fella.. got other attraction too other than the pandas.. If not, i'll feel damn bo hua paying $28-$30 just to see these 2 furry fellas.. and for the 1st few weeks, their food will be flown in from China.. after that, it's locally grown.. there's a 8000sqm bamboo plantation to grow their food..
