Torquemeister 1st Gear November 5, 2012 Share November 5, 2012 i beg to differ. Bespoke, yes. Understated? Hell no! Masers are as loud as it gets, literally and figuratively From afar, the exhaust sound screams "look my way". At the lights, the car screams "look at ME!" If i can afford a car in the 1/2 mil range a Maser is definitely my choice, compared to the M, Porker or any other cars in the similar price bracket. OK well we differ then - as I say., they are understated IMO compared to most other high end four door saloons (as I say I dont include the Germans - they all rank way below in cool factor). The only one close (and yes I would have one in a blink is the Rapide.................(to go with the droolworthy DB4 or 5 ↡ Advertisement
Desmojon 1st Gear November 5, 2012 Share November 5, 2012 Go stealth, paint Stromboli Grey. Maybe true. Mine is grey and got hit by only 2 bombs in 6mths. But grey Alfas looks out of norm.

AGT Neutral Newbie November 5, 2012 Share November 5, 2012 Maybe true. Mine is grey and got hit by only 2 bombs in 6mths. But grey Alfas looks out of norm. Well... You can't have the pie and eat it. My previous ride was white, and it was parked among other greys. Overnight, the birds unleashed whatever they have in their bowels on my ride, while the greys were untouched. Grey Alfas still turn heads.

Cant quite get my head around what the R8 is trying to be? A grown up TT, Superbug or poor version of a Porsche - as you can tell Im not convinced

A grown up TT, Superbug or poor version of a Porsche - as you can tell Im not convinced hmmm... beg to differ.. i think R8 is stunning. Without the flair of italian makes.. but it exudes beauty in a very mechanical and sterile way. Edited November 5, 2012 by Chrispie
Saabretooth 2nd Gear November 5, 2012 Share November 5, 2012 Go stealth, paint Stromboli Grey. It was stromboli grey before it became white..... now its white, with the occasional spatter of droppings. Oddly, its during the 630-730pm window when these things happen. As you say - mechanical....sterile.....about nails it. IMO only its mother could love it. A bit like the McLaren MP12V8XPS ABC or whatever (I care less). Doesnt rock my boat - styling by an AMerican, totally devoid of any emotion and looks like a typical American idea of a supercar. That is why we are all individuals man :)

Well that's understandable, it is after dinner and before last light. Last window of ops before close shop for after action reviews which is damn noisy. Xeryh 3rd Gear November 6, 2012 Share November 6, 2012 The gloss portion is looking good, and the matt portion is not that obvious unless you are already looking for it here are pics of the bonnet thing i did. bonnet too badly scratched so decided to try out wrapping. As i mentioned.. our bonnet is too long for standard wrap, so have to join. I dont want to have the same finishing with a line which i feel would make it look unresolved.. decided to use matte stickers to join with the gloss sticker to make it look deliberate.... hate it or love it. Like orange rims.

To me, it's a class on it's own And you will not see the 159 replacement till 2015 If it is for another 2+ years, it would be good if they produce the 159 GTA just to keep the excitement going till the Giulia and 164 comes. Do a FL / repackage or something. Anyway 159 does not look dated after all these years. Well at least thats what I think. ↡ Advertisement
