is the movie same with the book "No Easy Day"?

Don't think so.

NED was written by one of the Team Six's ex-participants and covered only a part of the OBL raid.

Havent seen ZDT nor read NED but from what was known the former was solely on the build-up leading to the termination of OBL while the latter was the author's experience who led him and others to be the tip of the spear to be one of the elite's elite Team Six member.

Ok..thanks. Will watch the trailer and then decide to watch it or not.

BTW, I did finish the book NED. The 2nd half of the book did describe the entire operation, from their helicopter crashing to the killing of OBL . The first half of the book is more on their training and other operations.

I don't know about the torturing part to extract intel.

Can't really put it down to the usual "end justify the means" most folks like to resort to.

If the aim is to save lives then maybe.

But who is to make the call?

That is the real question....

Good question - which was already being answered not just by former CIA chief, but also the Americans themselves who agree "the end justify the means" when comes to "terrorist"

9/11 is a good reason to start a war or justify torture - even that means breaking International Law against torture.

So whatever happened to Human right campaigned by Washington to other countries?

Yean man. Women don't understand what is "brotherhood" and the bonding between soldiers. She doesn't even understand the rationale of the BHD mission, for a start...... She asked why US must go in and take hostages from the building. She doesnt even understand why must bring the bodies back home....

Seriously we cannot expect them to be remotely interested just don't put us down can liao.

We will be bored to death if a rocket scientist started babbling about terminal velocity, payload, trajectory, propellent etc.

Watch it for the entertainment value, not about the rights and wrongs of it.

It is a Hollywood production and it will favour the Americans no matter what, capice?

My wife too dislikes war movies....always complain about the violence but it's ok for her to watch CSI, NY CSI, Miami CSI.

Anyway, anyone following Last Resort on AXN Ch 511? Episode 11 wasn't shown last week and I couldn't find the episode details too on their official site. Guess they break for Christmas. Good show and can't wait to see how Captain Chaplin resolve the situation.

There was a movie last year about a group of Navy SEALs operating in Central America and Mexico. Act of Valor. Some scenes were shot shot on USS Bonhomme Richard. Anyone watched this? Nice show too.

what did she learn from a war movie?[rolleyes]

Hahaha,

Like now, she knows

1) a sniper needs to compensate for wind and trajectory (Saving Private Ryan / Enemy at the Gates)

2) the importance of communications (Windtalkers)

3) artillery and how the call for fire works (Band of Brothers). It helps that I was from Arty during NS so could explain to her :D
