HDB Night Parking being scrapped?

I've noticed that many HDB such as Potong Pasir (yet to have EPS gantry) and other HDB carparks which have EPS gantry implemented doing away with night parking for visitor.

 

First noticed when i wanted park overnight at my friend's place at potong pasir for MJ......end up have to drive quite far away out of Potong Pasir HDB estates area to have night parking.....Zzzzz.

 

Now my place at bukit batok just got implemented with EPS Parking gantry. Previous night parking for $4 still available but ever since the new EPS gantry......they removed night parking making it only for season parking.

 

Punggol also another issue where no free parking on sunday & public holiday whole punggol.

main reason are govrn didnt plan for the new pr and citizen leading to explosion of cars population. Current hdb design cant accomodate the cars growth thus resident complaint of parking spaces. Easy solution are do away with night parking for those area that have parking problem.

Punggol also another issue where no free parking on sunday & public holiday whole punggol.

Not true. Punggol no free Sun/PH parking is only for areas nearby MRT station. Other parts still have free Sun/PH parking and also night parking...

I also notice many HDB carpark now reserved night parking for season parking holder only, and also mnay lots now all painted red which reserved for season parking holder whole day! Esp i find some carpark is not say consider those popular carpark and the carpark is quite big with many lots available.

Some of the carpark desgin by HDB are poor. Just look at some Punggol new flat which had only 1 level basement carpark, definitely not enough.

At least my place Seng Kang mscp still all the way level up to 6B.

It's stupid. The car park space belongs to HDB, the road outside belongs to LTA.

Like what some of the bros said, the ones outside didn't talk to the ones inside, and they don't know the increase in requirements.

 

I'm staying at ooloo heartland, and nightly there's an increase in the no of people parking

There isn't much difference actually. If basement car park means its area is spread over a wider area, usually up to the perimeter limit of the blocks above. Whereas a MSCP is only a small built up area but with many floors.

 

One level basement car park has its advantages too - eg. no need drive up and up (wasting petrol) to find a parking lot.

I'm living at one of the basement carparks. 2 to 3 years back not able to get a lot after 10pm. Nowadays a lot of empty lots at night. I believe a lot of people also selling off their rides and go public instead
