Quantum 5th Gear February 22, 2013 Share February 22, 2013 hello all, need your guys to advice[:)] thinking to buy a used SUV, but don't know which one is suitable I had experience to drive SUV at Middle East 2 years, there the most common one is Toyota Landcuriser, but it seems no common in Singapore, any other similar one to recommocd? based on my experience, 1. SUV heavy body, Engine at least 3.0L above, otherwise upderpoer, I tried Fortuner2.7, feel it quite sluggish, 2. FC hight, my previous Landcuriser 4.0 only 6 to 7/km/l, in middle east cheap fuel price, it's not issue, but in Singapore it's major concern in short, how to find the best balance point of SUV power vs FC in singapore ↡ Advertisement

Deckbuild 6th Gear February 22, 2013 Share February 22, 2013 fun over useful usually only driver on borad, occassionly carry 3 to 5 passenger You gonna mod it? For fun wise I think the range is pretty wide... For me I will choose either the sorento or the sportage, more for look and space. But if really going off road fun, I will choose Fortuner(my fav car ever), Vitara 2.4, Land Cruiser, Defender, Discovery etc. Maybe you can look at Evoque as well, lots of function and look damn sleek. Very engaging drive.
Amazon777 3rd Gear February 22, 2013 Share February 22, 2013 underpower or not? how it's fc? CRV 2.4, i find the power sufficient for the huge body. SUV does not feel draggy, FC is not very good due to AWD setup from KM about 9km/L depending how light-footed. I think some PI version has 2.4 FWD. But Honda cars are reliable and fuss free
Deckbuild 6th Gear February 22, 2013 Share February 22, 2013 tot underpower? I think the 2.5 turbo should have very high torque. They always compare Forester to Vitara. What I don't like is the spares not at on the back car door.

Bobztoise 1st Gear February 22, 2013 Share February 22, 2013 in shortlist, what is the fc? sgcarmart claim 11 to 13km/l, it's believeable i have yet to return anywhere close to 11km/L on a combined cycle for even 2L car and those cars have FC advertised also in those ranges so i would find this figure extremely doubtful you probably need to apply at least 20% off those numbers based on experience
