Seanboi 1st Gear June 25, 2017 Share June 25, 2017 For F50 users, do check if your night videos are blurry. I am on my second set of F50 and night footage are still blurry. ↡ Advertisement
Soho 4th Gear June 25, 2017 Share June 25, 2017 Any comment on thinkware x550? Was given a choice by SE btw thinkware x550 and blackvue dr650s. I understand that thinkware is more ex than blaclvue. Does x550 have wifi connect for direct download?
Bape85 1st Gear June 26, 2017 Share June 26, 2017 Any comment on thinkware x550? Was given a choice by SE btw thinkware x550 and blackvue dr650s. I understand that thinkware is more ex than blaclvue. Does x550 have wifi connect for direct download? the rear cam for X550 is full hd , the 650s is only HD . the thinkware comes with speedcamera warning ( for all speed camera and red light camera ) , and Forward vehicle departure warning ( just in case you dreaming at the traffic light ) and also not mentioning the ADAS features like FCW LDWS which some of the people find irritating so i will skip that as a pro . It doesnt have wifi but file retrieval is very easy . What car are you buying ? its good that they give you such good cameras . using thinkware x550 which comes with lexus. What should I set for the min and max voltage? lower if you want longer recording , higher if you are afraid . But it wont kill your car anyway . so far mine didnt die unless my battery is critically due for a change .
7hm Turbocharged June 27, 2017 Share June 27, 2017 Read a report that recently Samsung has launched a new Evo+ card that bears the UHS 3 specification on the cards that doesn't work with Thinkware devices. So there are two versions of the 128Gb Evo+ floating around, one has UHS 3 specs and makes the F770 freak out while the other with UHS 1 specs works fine. Attached 2 pics of the different Evo+ 128gb SD cards for comments and verifications from fellow users.... Apparently Samsung does not warrant their SD cards for use in surveillance cameras or dash cams...

Bro, two days ago i was at ZMC Serangoon North Ave 4 branch to enquire about the diff between 770 vs 750. I specifically asked the sales lady about the diff between the rear cam of 770 vs 750 and she said they are diff. The 770 rear cam has super night vision which the 750 rear cam does not. Hope this helps.

amc717 Neutral Newbie July 27, 2017 Share July 27, 2017 Hi, I recently joined and was interested in getting some clarification regarding the unit I bought. I have the F770 installed in my Honda Stream. Just wondering if there is anyway to automatically view the videos from my phone without having to turn on manually the wifi of the F770 unit. Or am I doing it wrong? Hope you could help. Thanks.

Thanks. you can view the videos from your phone only if you have downloaded the videos to your phone. so this means you would still have to connect to the wifi the first time round just to download the videos that you want and after that you dont have to connect to the wifi to view those videos and can play it from your phone. Got that. What I'm interested in is to eliminate the lag time from waiting to get connected to the wifi of the F770 plus the need to press the wifi to activate it. Isn't there a way that when I connect via the app, it will automatically turn on the wifi of the F770?

Is that true to other dash cams? I had a neighbour who showed me his dash cam live view without manually turning on the wifi of his unit. I thought the F770 would have been something like that considering it was the latest gadget when I got it. I just find it cumbersome to turn on the wifi and then wait for it be found by my bluetooth and then that's the only time I can view the recordings. It kinda takes awhile. For those dashcam that auto connect ur phone to dash cam wifi, (believe Iroad can do that), the problem they have is, whenever in car, phone connect to dash cam, then phone will not have internet connection. Coz it is on this wifi network with no internet access. This is what I read Lah.
ORIN17 1st Gear July 30, 2017 Share July 30, 2017 just got my new car delivered last week. Came with the lowest end Thinkware f50, I think. There is no viewing screen to allow me to know what the camera is capturing while on the move. Thinking of trading it to one with a viewing screen. Not necessary have to be another Thinkware but one that is reliable and simple to use. Any one of you can offer suggestions? Thanks in advance.
