Have been watching all 3 episodes of the food stalls recommended. As was in the vinity of Ang Mok Kio Ave 6, went to try Yunus N Family "famous" for their Gado-gado & Mee soto. Waited 30mins in the Q for both food [:(]. After eating, felt gado-gado gravy watery & little, with little ingredients. As for mee soto, soup taste rather ordinary, no "kick" even after adding their chili paste.

My opinion - 不值得 [thumbsdown]

Those who have tried other stalls recommended, feel free to input your comment/feedback

i always don't quite believe these food programmes until i try(for the 1st time) the roast meat stall in the 1st episode for my lunch..the quality of roast meat, char siew and the roast duck is terrible and the grain used to cook the rice is the most inferior i've ever ate in my entire life..i guess the only reason many people queued is probably because it's dirt cheap..a plate of roast meat rice costs only $2.40

i even came to the conclusion that the stalls "paid for publicity"..anyway once bitten is enough..not going to believe all these programmes [thumbsdown][shakehead]

Of course lah. Before the stall appear on TV everything was great and tasted nice. When the crowd comes, standard drop due to cannot cope and anyhow prepare. To the hawkers when they realise they anyhow prepare the food ppl still come they become complacent and take things for granted. Or they are simply too tired and boh chap.

I have went to stalls before they appear on tv and become famous. Before the whole fiasco the food was great but after appearing on TV it went down hill. But I cannot blame them. Life as a hawker is not easy especially when the food requires a lot of preparing beforehand. When the big crowd of hungry ppl come and if they do not hire extra help, you will just see them fail.

The queue usually will form only after TV and I have in fact been eating from some of these stalls before this show.

I usually eat those stalls that has the LEAST QUEUE (before they went on TV).

So you tell me nice or not [laugh]

I think you do not need to be rocket scientist to figure it out.

I believe most of us has organize party or barberque before. You buy ingredients according to the number of ppl attending so that you do not waste food at the end of it. It's the same for the hawker they know the crowd they are serving on weekdays and weekends. After appearing on tv the crowd may have increase ten fold or more. This hawker is so overwhelmed he might not be able to drop what he is doing, close shop and go buy more things he's short off especially when it's after office hours. So he dilute the soup, put less ingredients to make do.

I went to find a fish&chip stall RIGHT after the show to avoid the "next day queue".

I was lost and found a western stall just somehow just next door.

Stuck with them ever since for my all time favourite western food [:p].

Then one day (maybe +3months later), I found the F&C place....

The food; sucks....
