tried the EMII-TMT on its accompanying NATO

Somehow didn't like to wear it like that, maybe because of the thickness and resulting weight imbalance

Me too, i hate Nato straps for the overly light feel.

And perspiration will stink up the strap in no time.

Can someone please recommend me a good place to buy Grand Seiko automatic watches in Singapore? I only found City Chain boutiques and the range is limited. I am looking at the hi-beat peacock GMT. Or spring drive snowflake

I'm  actually wearing the BB58 on a Dievas NATO (ballistic nylon i should think).

It's actually very comfortable, but the BB58 is much lower profile, smaller and thinner so it doesn't have this sense of imbalance like I got with the EMII.

The EMII NATO is some fancy french flag weave of some kind. I find it more comfortable on the original rubber strap. Maybe because it's thick and balances out the watch.

There's a SEIKO boutique in VivoCity, they have some GS there, I also recall seeing a store carrying GS in JEM or the mall next to it. They had some Springdrives, but I dunno about the 36k vph Peacock, that model might be harder to find.

Thanks for the tips. I have gone to the Vivo City boutique run by City Chain. Limited models. The boutique at JEM also run by City Chain. Are there any other Grand Seiko shops recommendations either in Singapore or Malaysia?

According to the Grand Seiko website, those are the only two official dealers for Singapore, though it also shows World of Watches in Wisma Atria. Perhaps you can check there.

For Malaysia, perhaps it's easier to link you the list from the GS web itself;

https://www.grand-seiko.com/global-en/stores/list?country=MALAYSIA

There's just one in JB, for the rest you must go further up. The GS dealer network is undoubtedly one of the smaller ones for the luxury brands since most of the mainstream luxury watch retailers do not carry them as they are largely focused on European watches (e.g. Hourglass and Sincere here).

Don't take my word for it but I recall there might be some small size non-chain retailers like those in Lucky Plaza or Peninsula Plaza that might have some GS. I doubt you'd want to go to anywhere but official dealers for a GS though.
