don't be conned to buy such things when u can watch movies online. U just need to connect your pc or laptop to your TV to watch it on TV. Anyway, the quality of the movies won't be fantastic. Just watch it online will do.

yalor... i just get a cable, hook up my HTC one (or transformer pad T300L) to my 40" samsung LCD watching HD youtube or movies is the same and much nicer picture too... only do it once a while, watch show like voices of china in HD mode... damn nice...

only good for youtube and netflix... if i get it, it will be for my wife and she watch korea drama... will get it if it allow me to install my apps....

I've got an Android one. Very useful actually if you do not want to watch on your PC. Mine is connected to my home network so it can access my PC's harddisk and every movie I downloaded from the Internet can watch on TV. I don't really use much of those apps since everything I watch can be downloaded but you can install apps like funshion, PPTV etc.

 

Any brand will do as long as they can play 1080p movies and connect to network. Most of those latest ones have HDMI.

Most LCD TVs have a VGA port, just get an old PC, give it a new casing and it'll look like a new addition to your AV players.

With that, you can do what any Windows PC can do.

 

Your old PC will have more processing power and ram than the Android TV box.

Just add on a wireless keyboard and mouse and it'll be complete.

 

For sound, just get those 3.5mm to the RCA to connect to the TV.
