Just go back to the tire shop u went last time n ask them to give u some new ones.

The cap is meant to protect the valve from water n dirt. Without it yr valve cud spoil earlier.

The tire shop is in JB's Johor Jaya. The problem is I don't go that area often (even if I am in JB)....and recently I don't go into JB cos nothing to go in for. So I tot if its not important to have them, then I'll just wait for next chance to go there. If important, then I just buy from a local accessory shop.

Ya, I think the cap is important. Not only to protect from water and dirt, but also to prevent any air leakage.

If I just walk in n ask to change to the metal valve type, I doubt got RM10ea. Unless ty use a cheepo type which not lasting.

Actually what is the difference between the metal valve type and the (usual) rubber valve type?

RM10 per piece or for a set of 4 ?

Is it a one size-fits-all-valve type of protector ?

Come to think of it I didn't bought any tires from them. My tires was a little flat and went to the mto see if got anything stuck to my tire. The guy check and discovered the rubber cracked at the joint so slowly leaking air. So the guy say must change valve and offer me the chrome steel type @ RM10 ea. Since cheap said ok and till now the valve still ok (already on another set of tires). Maybe I was lucky.

So to change to the metal valve, ty must remove the tire then can install the new valve, right?

All that for only RM10 is damm cheap.

Let me try. I go n ask to change the metal valve n see how much ty quote me. [sly][grin]
