Kelong to Lui.. [rifle]

Sometimes when I dun drive and depend on the feeder bus service to take me out to the main road from my ulu office, the buses take as long as 35-40mins to arrive using the SBS transit online bus arrival information..pui..

That's nothing. I have ever encountered, just missed the bus (trunk service), then the iris app says next bus 55 minutes later. [rifle]

Walk back home, drink a coffee, then go back to the bus stop to wait.

Well...about there lor..I always kena this sort of situations...last time at Tuas...bus 192..takes 40mins to come at night...

Now at northern part of singapore..also held ransom by lousy trunk service.. [bigcry]

It means in an hour, sbs only dispatches on average about 2 buses which leave the interchange to traverse the entire bus route...beri save $$$...for the bus company

Public transport fare hike capped at 2.8% for 2015: Lui Tuck Yew

http://transport.asiaone.com/news/transport/story/public-transport-fare-hike-capped-28-2015-lui-tuck-yew#sthash.coprS81e.dpuf

"This is lower than the original roll-over figure of 3.4 per cent from the last fare review in January, and is largely due to a fall in energy costs. "

"We know that energy costs have come down, as compared to 2012 ... The maximum that is allowed for this particular fare increase will be 2.8 per cent," said Mr Lui said in an interview with Channel NewsAsia (CNA).

As usual, nothing new at all... we all know that bus fares will keep on increasing, regardless of what other situation like diesel prices coming down now...

If they want to increase, they would come out with reasons to justify ....

Anyway, hope the services will also improve just like fare increases...

In the foodchain, the persons at the tail / bottom ends, ie consumers, school kids taking school buses, will be the ones suffer whenever those above decide to "ADJUST" prices for services etc . Those sitting right on top (the elitest of the elites) will just press "OK" buttons for the price rises and continue to scratch each others' backs, life goes on.

BUT.....market forces applies.

My kid has to change to another school bus next year. The school called us. Said that we likely have to face fee increment, though neber say by how much. Said that because now manpower stricter, can only have X number of FW per Y number of Sgreans.

So now that need to hire more Sgreans, the bus coys tell the school they have no choice but to up as locals want more pay. School told us.

Sometimes I wonder if the school bus bosses are also exploiting the opportunity to up their profits using employment of locals as an excuse. [sweatdrop] [sweatdrop]

All PTC knows is to increase public transport fare year after year non-stop.

Put monkeys there and they can do the same thing.
