Apart from the Alien franchise, I remember Giger for his work, The Master and Margarita,which was the basis for the artwork of one of my favourite albums growing up, Danzig III: How the Gods Kill. I've attached the main motif, but the whole thing (it's a large work when folded out from the CD case - I have the original CD) is really quite impressive and even scary.
