Actually I am using the AVH-X8650BT instead of 8750 1)For Android , I think you can only connect Via Appradio which require the HDMI connection, u need to set in the setting Input output connection, select smartphone , u will see the Appradio icon appear.. 2)My HU do not display the warning message everytime I start the engine, u might want to see what setting do disable, should be able.. 3)I do not use HDD to connect via the USB , but I did using my 64GB thumb drive for viewing MKV movies,, it will take a while to read (One one time).. So , now I using the SD to view movie instead.. Hope it helps..
mpv_lover 1st Gear May 4, 2015 Share May 4, 2015 I'm using 8750. I guess pioneer wanna play safe in case there is accidents and driver blame them for not disabling the screen and distract them. The warning message warns that using of device when driving may cause death. I think only if we flash the firmware to another version... would the warning be removed. I used western ultra digital Hdd. 1tb. 3 quarters full. Reading very fast. I have mp3 vob mp4 and mkv inside
BRZ Neutral Newbie May 5, 2015 Share May 5, 2015 Does the AVH-8750BT have multitouch? Any bugs or anything you dislike about this head unit? Anyone tried using a 256GB SDXC card loaded with FLAC files? Feedback from Android Auto or Carplay users on what works and does not work?

charlesccc 1st Gear May 6, 2015 Share May 6, 2015 Hey bros, I have 8750 installed from the local distributor. Pioneer HU sets do not have build in GPS. However, you can get the 3rd Party App. They installed Galactio with GPS antenna. The maps are from SLA and LTA. I guess it should be ok. I have been trying to figure out the Andriod Auto. Do I connect via use the original cable or I have to get a special port cable to connect via HDMI? Do I have install the andriod auto on my phone or the HU? Tried to find andriod auto app on my play store but could not find it. Another question will be on how to use the appradio? Installed but only one app is compatible . Any advise on how to connect to the HU? via bluetooth or cable? Lastly, anyone noticed the reversing guide to have a reversing route when u r driving or just the guide to help u gauge the distance? If I remind correctly, I ever saw the guide with the reversing route to check if u r turning in the correct position. Not sure if it's the pioneer HU bug. Can advise? Thanks in advance for the advice and help!
BRZ Neutral Newbie May 6, 2015 Share May 6, 2015 My assumption is you download the Android Auto app to your smartphone with Android 5.x and connect to your X8750BT via USB and start the Android Auto app on both your smartphone and head unit. They should see each other. Cychua 1st Gear May 7, 2015 Share May 7, 2015 For android Auto, the USB has to be connected to USB2 not 1. That's something I find very stupid about this unit. CarPlay must use USB1. Android Auto must use USB2. Dumb!
Meadelx200 1st Gear May 7, 2015 Share May 7, 2015 Anyone have similar problem as mine ? Mine was purchased in early Jan with come with version 1.08 (I think). I'm currently using it with Iphone 5 (tested with Iphone 6 as well) from version 8.01 to 8.2 now (upgrading to 8.3 today) I activated Siri all this while but it works intermittently for Call and Message Apps. Navigation though is quite good. The rest of the Apps intermittently as well. However since last early week my Call and Message Apps does not produce any voice feedback from the system. Did several Resets on the 8650 but it managed to work once only. Tried with different Iphone and version up to IOS 8.2 and different original lightning cables. Gave up, now using Bluetooth. Cychua 1st Gear May 7, 2015 Share May 7, 2015 I use usb extension to pull both out to glove box compartment. Then i connect iPod or android phones from there. You keep your phone in the glove box compartment when you drive? I prefer to put my phone on the wind screen. So I need the cable to charge. I have asked my installer to put the HDMI and USB1 cables to the driver side. But will keep the USB2 cable in the glove compartment for thumbdrive/hdd for videos. Sailor 2nd Gear May 8, 2015 Share May 8, 2015 I'm a iPhone 6+ user who uses AppRadio app (instead of car play) -I noticed that the screen-display of "compatible" apps would initially be full-screen. After driving for a while, these apps' display would automatically shrink with black borders all around the display. I was told that it's an iOS thing.... not a new problem; but surprised that Apple has not solve the bug after years.

I've got a Brodit holder for my phone. The extension are pulled from head unit to glove box. And then extended from there. Cause i use both android and apple so can switch easily from there. There's more cables but it's more accessible as well ↡ Advertisement
