You were lucky at the right timing .... haha. If can bargain and get it guaranteed, why not. Besides, 1 -2k a small % of absolute car price. Some ppl waited out the NG bids and I can see the feeling is stressful. Should enjoy the buying process and the delivery of new ride. Cheers!!

No lar bro... it is in the timing..... get it right, 8 bid NG, save 1 to 2k and you can get the ride on the 1st bid. 8 bid is just to save some $$$$... not actually want to wait for 8 bid lar.... that is 4 months....

If one can wait don't push for a Pre CNY delivery and you can get a better deal, otherwise the rep will sense your hunger and pull back on freebies.

To me the auto mirror module is important. As the FXT doesn't make any alarm sound when opening/closing, sometimes I forget whether I've locked the door after walking away from the car. Now I can just look at the folded mirror from a distance and know that the car is locked.

Just curious: will the car auto-lock after not sensing the key?

 

As in if u walk away n forget to lock the car...

Attended the New owner workshop yesterday.

 

The trainer for the FNA group highlighted 1 interesting point.

 

If our car battery is weak, need another forester to jump start our forester. Our forester is a very sensitive car.

 

He reiterated our forester cannot jump start other cars. Otherwise it may damaged the limiter beside the battery positive terminal and 1 other component.  But another car make can jump start our forester.

 

Close to the end of the workshop the trainer contradicted himself and said other cars make cannot jump start our forester. He kinda realised his mistake and pause to think about it and became confused himself.

 

Can those who attended the XT group briefing with the Master Trainer confirm on this point?

To jump start our forester, the jump start cable positive should attach to our positive on the battery.  But the negative should be attached to any other metal parts of our forester to ground it.

When in reverse gear.
I see only 1 white light at rear.
Did 1 bulb blow or is this a feature.

So, is this unique to subaru forester?  or is this common to call new car?  my old car when in reverse gear, both white light at rear will light up.

 

I thought 1 bulb low.  Almost going to send back to repair.

In my FNA workshop, it was mentioned cannot jumpstart other cars, might fry our electronics. But other cars can jump ours.
