Fed 90% gg to raise interest rates when they meet tomorrow US time. will affect our loans interest in some ways. I may be wrong.

Showroom not busy like the rest of ADs. Give u some heads up, if Mazda (for example) collect many many bookings for their Mazda cars over this weekend or till Fri, likely they will raise their prices before the next COE bidding by a K or 2. U shld know why

Tot fed has confirm increase 0.25% liao.

To me the auto mirror module is important. As the FXT doesn't make any alarm sound when opening/closing, sometimes I forget whether I've locked the door after walking away from the car. Now I can just look at the folded mirror from a distance and know that the car is locked.

If I'm not sure if I locked, from a distabce I just press the lock on the key fob. If I see the lights flash means its locked.

The price is $108800 - 2k (NG) - $2K( trade-in) so is $104800.

Free auto fold mirror, free front/rear camera, solar frame . Free car Matt.

This price is the lowest since the $38K COE,(think car price than was about $101800) so even if COE drop further, think it will not be much, so book liao.

How was your trade in price? Mine was ard 7k off what other dealers are offering..if u dont mind, can pm me ur se contacts?

Quick question.

When in reverse gear.

I see only 1 white light at rear.

Did 1 bulb blow or is this a feature.

Thanks.

So, is this unique to subaru forester?  or is this common to call new car?  my old car when in reverse gear, both white light at rear will light up.

I thought 1 bulb low.  Almost going to send back to repair.

It's a standard European feature. One is a rear fog lamp, the other is the reverse lamp. Standard Subaru feature also...

In my FNA workshop, it was mentioned cannot jumpstart other cars, might fry our electronics. But other cars can jump ours.

Is yours the Malay guy trainer for your session ?

What are the other tips that was communicated in the workshop that bros who attended can share?

In my session last Sat, the trainer highlighted

1) FNA can use Ron 92 pumped in SG. If overseas must pumped the highest RON as it is not as regulated as in SG.

Actually it was mentioned in the Subaru Manual FNA can use from RON 90 although our fuel cover label showed RON 95.

2) If using the spare tire best to drive at 50-60km/h as the AWD can detected the different tire width although the tire height is the same.

3) Can bring our car to any MI Asia to service. So we can bring to JB Subaru to do servicing and it is recognised by SG MI. They can access your servicing record in JB. ****Not sure servicing at JB MI will be cheaper???

4) Forester can jumpstart another forester but not other car make. But other car makes can jumpstart our forester. *** Interesting point to note.

5) To get good FC in S-Mode needs to travel longer distance in order to see it. So far my own data revealed I-mode is more efficiency than S-mode based on my daily to and fro 25km expressway trip to work. Trainer claimed, 25km too short to see the S-mode efficiency. Need to travel longer distance but he could not provide the distance. He said just travel the NS highway you will be able to see it.

6) If there is sound from the boot, checked the car Jack is not loose.

7) On slippery road, if 1 wheel slipped, the AWD icon will light up. It means system detected the slip and compensating the slip.

8) Good to do car system diagnose once a month to check for any issues. Press the car start button twice without foot on the brake pedal.

That is about all I can remember.

Not sure why they say cannot jumpstart another car. I have started a dead company van from my FNA with no issues at all... ?

Great sharing!

Im not convinced on s mode giving better fc though.. tried it a few rounds it always worse off. Just use s mode for the shiokness. Not better fc.

The trainer bs that need to travel ns highway to see the diff... any car that travels on ns highway will have better fc

Why? Rust setting in already after putting?

No la... Its just that all new cars will already have rustproofing

Reason for doing so then was

1) to better protect precious new ride

2) already have exisiting credits in DUO points thus not so pain - only pay 60 plus

Thinking back, i wouldnt have done it if this is to be fully paid in cash.

Anyway whats done is done. So just enjoy the ride now

Not sure why they say cannot jumpstart another car. I have started a dead company van from my FNA with no issues at all... ?

The main reason is that if you jump start a car which requires significantly higher crank current for the starter motor, the Forester electronics would be impacted. As the current for jumpstarting comes from both the battery and the alternator, a high enough current drawn may fry the electronics.

It should be ok to jumpstart another vehicle which requires a lower or similar crank current as the Forester. That's why the instructor says that you can jump start another Subaru. However, they want to play safe and says that you should not jump start any other makes because it is very difficult to list down the crank currents of all the other makes.

If you die-die must jumpstart another vehicle, look at the battery capacity/rating of the dead vehicle. If it is smaller that that of the Subaru, it may be safe to do so. If it is higher, than better not as the repair bill could be very high if the electronics is fried. Do so at your own risk.
