I drove the XC60 T6 before.

Good day to all

And Gong Xi Fa Cai to all our chinese bro and sis

Would like to check on my FNA for your option. My ride is 6 month old

After my December trip to Malaysia Genting highland in " FULL" loaded condition, I found my ride acted differently after return back to Singapore.

My fuel consumption when travelling in Singapore road when up a lot. No change in my driving habit, 70 % highway and 30 % city. I can travel 70 to 80 Km in a single day. No change in type of fuel. Esso 95.

My consumption was used to be about 10.5 Km / Ltr and now i used more fuel. Average from last few pumping is about 8.9 to 9 km/ Ltr. I found sometime the exhaust pipe giving out white smoke while waiting for traffic light to turn green. Which indicated incomplete combustion. What can i do, Will MI troubleshot for me?

Second issue is that I found while I am braking on a slight slope downward road, i can feel something is swing and knocking on the driver floor plate. I can felt it is knocking under the carnage and these few days can't feel it anymore. What can the cause?

many thanks

White smoke or White vapour.

White mean good and complete combustion .......by product is water vapour.

Wow, SGCARMART, update FNA promotion price liao, drop another 4K, now $110,800, seem like they also hungry for more order liao, their XV also drop to $102,800. If have 2K discount non-G and 2K on Trade in than should be $106,800 liao, only 2k different from what I have book during the 46K COE. (it also come with GPS)

Naughty motor image, making this additive ride very tempting again. :p

I'm looking for bike rack to carry 3 bikes for my Forester.  Any recommendation for those who has installed one?  I understand from other forum that trunk mount bike may cause scratches on paint and may also damage the spoiler!?   Any one has installed tow hitch for hitch mount bike rack?  Thank you in advance for your recommendation.

hi joseph

me don't drive forester...but also a SUV owner (xtrail). due to the height issue, I  didn't go roof rack but go for the hitch (2in sq hitch) mount bike rack system (see attach photo). am using Yakima - ridgeback 4, can load up to 4 bike. Load it up a couple of time (with 4 bikes) and the drive is still steady. maybe you can consider. you can visit www.lamsing.com.sg, they have many sample there. hope information is useful even though not of the same drive.

Bro, think you had shared the cost before. Can say again?

hi Pocy

wat I done, tow hitch (locally fabricated plus installation plus additional license plate - to be display when in use) is S$300.

the Yakima bike carrier -  u can check www.lamsing.com for the model / brand you like. price is available too.

additional item - matching cable lock with matching key to my Yakima ridgeback 4 (use only 1 key to lock both)

                         - tube top for odd type of bike, such as lady bike - those with missing or slanted horizontal bar.

                         - hitch cover -  to cover up the tow hitch when I store away my Yakima bike carrier.

total I spend less than S$900 for a 4 bike system hitch type bike carrier.

hope info is useful

Interesting I have the same problem, after coming back from Cameron highlands and went for my 5k service. I use to have about 11.5 km/l. Now only 10.5 km/l. No change in route, no change is petrol, no change in driving habit.

What could happen?

Mine was actually the opposite i.e. >5k my fuel consumption is high but it slowly improve until 10k then it become stable and constant!

Btw, it is not advisable to drive long distance during a new car run in or below 5k:-). May be can ask for the expert opinions i.e. the mechanic in MI in your next service:-)

You might be able to answer your doubt by test drive yourself as "beauty is in the eye on the beholder".

Report back after your test drive. [thumbsup]

i would feel 14k premium for the extra oomph in turbo kick is worth the top up. It will make the drive up to penang/msia more enjoyable when you feel the need to overtake.

[:p]

then again, who will complain that power is too much?  [smash]
