Hi Darren,

 

Thanks to you, called old kaki Alvin who bring in these cost effrctive Taiwanese version of Sym Cox body dampers.

 

Just fitted front and rear ones underneath respective bumpers ... sym cox ones at 1.5k is simply too expensive and I do not expect magical improvement.

 

Will update here after few days of testing.

Hi Darren,

 

At least for my ride which I believe is already very quiet with elaborate SP, autofoam and primacy 3 ST, this body dampers are nice !!

 

I can tell that overall road noise decreased obviously and descending from road humps are better damped.

 

I would recommended them and no regret especially after paying less than 1/3 of sym cox dampers which can even be better or highest quality with dampers made by yamaha japan.

 

Also din know that after 2013, toyota estima aeras come stock with such front body damper and not only lexus.

 

Btw, these are not from highline but oem factory.

Wow wow wow!! Ok I’m on cusco touring a dampers with stock springs, cusco power braces and upgraded bushings. Overall ride is firmer, no more bouncy ride but CFO complained harsh. (To the bro whom asked for review on the cusco touring a dampers) I personally liked it, but hope to improve further.

Thanks for the headsup on loading. I haven't dwell into that yet, will take a look.

 

The offset stood out that's why i asked about that first. Seem a little too much in my opinion. Looks like you think that way too haha

 

my previous Legacy on +41 (or was it +42) offset wheel just almost flush with arch, +38 was already protruding then.

since STI rim is still +48 offset and same width for 5x100, so stock rim offset should be similar between SJ Forester and my old Legacy.

 

+35 probably suits the Evos or Fairlady more...

Next 3 of your recommended forester owners will get it at sgd450 compared to usual sgd500.

 

Any bro here interested pls contact alvin who is the carousell seller at +65 9664 4793 and say you are one of the 3 kakis of richard to fix appt at 450.

Regarding the OZ rims load rating, i asked one of the dealers, didn't give me exact answer just said they installed a few Toyota harrier with it, no issues so far. Hi Randy,

 

I have installed the pivot drive ethrottle since moved from estima ... really solid ROI since more than 10 yrs old.

 

As such, I can recommended pivot ethrottle on its reliability and quality ... pivot connects to obd for most stable voltage to avoid issues not uncommon of other ethrottle but no worry since it is only low requirement and just get a splitter.  I contacted pivot Japan and this is their advice to me from various queries from bro on why the need for obd connection and if there is any concern .. take it for what ever it is worth.

 

However, i have to admit that I had never engage pivot drive ethrottle for daily drive in the last 8 mths except at eco mode last week to save petrol $ as now 90/10 city/hwy drive is 350/400km/full tank and I had can/had choose default S mode via Biltz SI Jumper every time I start the car.  Fortunately, response to me at this stage is fine and I can always revert back to normal or even sport mod for faster gear change but this is of course nothing to those bros who had turned for torque for pick up response which ponies do not help since only for higher speed.

 

Hope this helps but should you wish to buy one, please contact me first as I have a used spare one for you to try but hope you will pay for installation unless you can diy since I am not into diy and there is so simple calibration steps to do.

Sorry to hear but guess your rides are not here yet.

 

My 1st bid on the pending Mazda 6 by eurokar when booked in Aug was half hearted at sgd22k+ vs prevailing 30k+ since car is expected in only end Oct/early Nov .. 2nd bid surprising was 30k+ and just missed 700 and 3rd bid was equally high with missed 307 but glad to share that eurokar exceed expectation to have bidded 33.5k today and hence just been contacted by SE to proceed with insurance application etc.

 

Please try to find out availability date of your rides and you can then expect bid to be much more aggressive and MI is already well known for being aggressive COE bidder with or without guaranteed back at sgd2k difference when I bought my fxt without.

The feeling is different now. It’s less bumpy and more firm. I think people behind will feel more harsh than bouncy. Some say less giddy.. It’s pretty difficult to describe how it feels now (paiseh my England no good ah). Think the best is to try it out for yourself. Hahahaha

From all the setup I had tried and I very thick skinned to beg bros to let me to do, it is either acceptable level of bump which is subjective or floaty which is also subjective and guess difficult query to respond to 100%.

Nevertheless, I can say that:

 

- there are many way to skin a cat and unfortunately experimentation is need to get to your acceptance depending on what is already installed

- cusco touring A with either stock spring or lowered spring like pink, rsr, mann, swift, triple -S etc is not as hard aka bumpy aka harsh like any coilover but it also means it is not as stable

- cusco touring A is adjustable to your preference as close as possible

 

Most importantly, you should try out Darren's ride, my ride etc. and be thick skinned like me else quite hard to conclude with words while they are some indication ... lol !
