Most likely the installer didn't wire it for parking recording for fear of draining the car battery. And please do manage your expectation for parking recording, if you park at a place whereby the traffic is high, the recording will be like 8 to 10 hours after parking then it'll shutdown to prevent draining the car battery till the point you cannot start the car.

hmm.... remember everything got pros and cons, depends on how you weight the pros and cons. For example, you can add battery pack to power the dash camera for parking recording.

Hi experts, are there dual channel dash cams out there that can be also be used as reverse camera too? As in when we engage to reverse gear, the front screen will show the back image like how a normal reverse camera would do?

Hi all, regarding iroad v9, how to tell if itâs s1 or s2 ? Physically both seems the same.

S1 comes with blue led indicator.

S2 comes with white led indicator.

S1 comes with blue led indicator.

S2 comes with white led indicator.

Cool thanks! How about the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) functions, does the v9 s1 has it?

I found out my Q9's WiFi isn't working when I tried to connect the app to it. When I press the Wi-Fi Registration Button I hear a voice prompt saying there is "No Wi-Fi Dongle" when it is clearly plugged in.

Does anyone know if I can buy a 3rd party Wi-Fi dongle to replace the spoilt one?  If yes, any specific specs to look out for?

Thank you for any advice.

Have you tried restarting your dashcam?

Have you tried restarting your dashcam?

If by restarting you mean removing the power plug and inserting it again, yes I did that (a few times) and they didn't help.

I'm now wondering if there's a Reset button I can press to... reset the cam instead?

Without Wi-Fi, the cam seems to be working just fine.  I can hear it starts/stops recording, and warns about lane departure etc too.  I just can't connect to see if the date/time and other settings are set correctly, settings I presumed might have reverted to factory setting since I had unplugged the cam to "restart" it.

The cam is 17 months old.

Update to my Q9's Wi-Fi issue:

I visited Corvit and Gavin diagnosed and suspected the Wi-Fi dongle was defective.  Plugging in a working one was all it took to confirm that.

I must thank Corvit for giving me the replacement dongle for free out of good will.  After all, the car cam is 18 months old and hence out of warranty.

Incidentally, I asked Gavin if I could use a 3rd party Wi-Fi adapter, and the answer is no.  I was hoping it is possible so that I can get one that has longer range and, putting Parking Mode to good use, lets me connect wirelessly to the Q9 to see who's at my front gate from my living room.  :-(

Happened to me today.

Got rear ended.

And I refused the installers recommendation for a rear camera.

I've BlackVue on the front windscreen. Isit necessary to install another set at the rear just incase someone kiss your bumper and you've solid proof to show your insurance for damages claim.
Anyone done before?
