50% highway should be able to get 14Km/L. if only city and town drive, it is only about 10km/L

Used 95 only. why use 98 as a waste of money? even 92 is sufficient.

saw some ads on FB that the lowest tier cost ard 73-74k now

how true is that?

Saw that too, so went to ask. Apparently they fixed the COE at 25k. Meaning to say, they will only bid at 25k and you will not get the car unless COE drops to 25k.

The car cost around 80ish if you change to guaranteed coe package.

I just booked a 2019 JDM 1.5 non hybrid sienta at 80k for guarantee COE max 6 bids with no top up. Looking around if anyone can help to recommend workshop that provide slight mods in exterior, interior and roof rack and increase efficiency in AC? To get car before end of Oct.

refresher post on a previously compiled list:

simplified summary of general differences between PI and AD Sienta.

Sienta PI

- JDM

- gear shaft on the dashboard panel

- foot brake

- generally cheaper if compare apple to apple, but PI uncertainty

- newer engine (2NR-FKE - 1st released in 2015, updated design for better efficiency and fuel consumption)

- strong middle aircon blower, which can reach 3rd row (when properly adjusted)

Sienta BM

- made in Indonesia

- weaker middle blower. rear aircon taps cold pipe from main aircon.

- gear shaft on the car floor

- handbrake

- generally more pricey if compare apple to apple, but AD reliability

- older engine (2NR-FE - 1st released in 2010)

* list is not exhaustive

* differences in the exterior and interior looks depends on the chosen grade and optional factory options: JDM (X, G) vs BM (Standard, Elegance)

will try to do up a comparison list for specifically for JDM X model vs BM Standard.

Hi anybody got updated comparison list Ma I am stunned at the 15-20k price difference between the PI Sienta X and BM Sienta

So we went to BM to test drive the Sienta. My SE very steady, let us test on upslope (Mazda and Honda test route only flat ground), and was very grateful la! Cause we discovered that we preferred a car with more power, in the end discovered that the Vios was on sale, came back after lunch test drove and bought it on the spot =D

Maybe next time if the Sienta got a more powerful engine version can consider, we really really liked the way the last row of seats folded flat and disappeared under the middle row...

ah...you wanted to buy a 7 seater Sienta, but end up bought a normal Vios? how did that happened? Enough space? I guess the sales executive really knows how to close a deal. You come in, you have to buy one, no matters which one...

Vios and sienta is different le. Space wise vios is small liao. Lol.

Hahaha it's just my wife, me and my kid. So the 7 seats is good to have though not necessary at the moment lor... We were looking at mazda 2 and Jazz (both $80k) initially, then didnt consider the Vios cause it's advertised at 85k (but now is $80k also)... Test drove all 4 cars (incl Sienta) then too bad didnt find it powerful enough haha...

Or maybe like what you say la, the SE very zai hahaha... Almost everything we asked to throw in, she steady all okay... only things we didnt manage to get was extended warranty, servicing and sports rims... Anybody got share whether BM got throw in such things for them before?

Does your SE's name start with letter C?  We were considering Sienta back then with BM 2 months ago too. And the SE was really quite good - not pushy but able to give you alot of freebies. Quite a pleasant person and one of the better SEs I encountered after visiting more than 8 showrooms. Although we bought another car later on with another dealer but the experience at BM did leave a positive impression.

Just curious though - the Sienta (even the standard version) is above 90k I remember. If your budget was 90k and you were looking at the Sienta, there are other cars to consider in the same range.

Name start with an L. =D The Sienta was $95k, tho some PI selling the Sienta X at $85k...

On another note, is the hybrid Sienta more powerful for any one of you who have tried both?

for me, i will buy the made in Japan PI version. Cheaper and better built for sure.

Yeah why pay a $10k premium for made in indonesia... As far as I can tell, the only useful perk for the latter is the rear air con, but i feel that it does reduce the head room a bit...

Is this deal good? Sienta X @$80,888 (2 bids guaranteed COE). Considering that it is VES A (there will be additional $5k rebate from its OMV from Jan 21). Or should I hold the purchase and wait and see how it goes from Jan 21?
