Meet Raflessia (Rafflesia arnoldii) - The largest, stinkiest flower in the world. This plant usually grows in the jungles of southeast asia. It has no stems, no roots and no leaves. It spends most of its life as a parasite living in woody vines. When it is ready to reproduce, the Rafflesia forms a tiny bud that bursts through the host vine's bark. This bud slowly develops into a bizarre and giant (upto 3 feet in diameter and upto 20lbs) flower with five petals. This humungus flower smells like rotten meat and attracts flies that pollinate it in the future.
