Wow. 3-6 months. I dont think anyone will be sending thier car for to japan for that long. Haha. For other brands besides HKS also dont have isit bro? And do u know if there will be any chance of legal exhaust for the car or no chance of having at all? Haha.

Anyone pick the Lancer EX Elegance instead of the Cerato L?

I am considering both. Not sure which to get.

To date I have spoken to Garage R, Fong Kim and Jeep Chee with no favorable response.

I haven't decided yet too.

Both also have its own advantages.

Lancer is old so that mean proven technology, lots of spares,

cheap to service. The 4 speed auto is very reliable. Economy is

only 13.7. Suspension is multilink

Cerato has a 6 speed box, love the shape, economy is 14.6

should be reliable, not sure if parts are cheap and suspension

is torsion bar.

Can't go wrong with either. Have to wait to see what kind of job

I will be doing before deciding.  [thumbsup]

thanks James. Quite sad that Lancer has not changed its engine like more than 10years ago? 4 speed compared to 6 speed is at the expense of fuel consumption..but you do have a point on reliability ...not sure the differences in suspension of multi-link compared to torsion bar.

anyway, please keep me posted....i'm leaning towards K3 at this moment and also started to notice more K3 on the roads now :D

Good luck to you for buying K3.

it is common to compare lancer and K3 since their showroom is just side by side.

K3 interior design and technology is superior (at least for the first 3 years)

Maybe we can review after 3 years, see which model spend more on repairs =)

Lancer is purely a very reliable car and more stable(heavier body due to safety reinforcement) car. heavy car sure consume more petrol.

No matter which car you buy, the objective is the same. reach destination and dont break down often

Lancer is heavy because of all the safety bar build in the door..
