Alpine6 1st Gear April 20, 2016 Share April 20, 2016 So if the Cat E was say obtained at a time when the Cat B COE was 45k. But since as i understand, there is a 6 months window period to register the Cat E COE and it was registered at a time when the Cat B was 50k. So will it be reflected as 45k or 50k? Hope my question makes sense. From what i understand from the OneMotoring website, if the CAT E COE premium is higher than CAT B, the CAT B premium will be used. If the CAT E COE premium is lower, it will be used to calculate the rebate In short, government win, we lose ↡ Advertisement

Blueray Hypersonic April 20, 2016 Share April 20, 2016 if cat E crashed then it would be real interesting ADs bo tai bo chi earn 10s of thousands of dollars If using Cat E for Cat A or Cat B, its based on the Cat A/Cat B or Cat E, whichever is lower.

Is it the Cat B COE premium at the same bidding exercise when the Cat E was secured or the Cat B COE premium at the point the Cat E COE is used to register for a car? Alpine6 1st Gear April 20, 2016 Share April 20, 2016 (edited) But compare to Cat B COE premium at which point in time? Is it the Cat B COE premium at the same bidding exercise when the Cat E was secured or the Cat B COE premium at the point the Cat E COE is used to register for a car? The comparison will be on the same bidding exercise E.g if the AD secured your CAT B car using a CAT E COE in the first round of the Apr 2016 bidding exercise, the CAT B premium (S$47,000) will be used in calculating your de-reg rebate as it is lower than the CAT E premium (S$47,510) Edited April 20, 2016 by Alpine6
