60k and 100k are major servicing. Hope they can really keep up to the advertisement

Agree but at this point in time, we have to take it as a sincerity effort from Opel to improve its image and service. Only time will tell.

Anyone here familiar with 9H ceramic coating paint work? Is it really effective as I have read very good reviews on the coating? Thank you.

I am interested to know also.

Said to be very good for future car washing as the costing is resistant to dirt, and bird shit will not be able to stick into the paint work and easily clean off. Worth a consideration at $388 for 3 layers of coating, said to be effective for 3 years.

I'm not technical so can't tell you the exact details of PPS but I've done it for my car and find that it's good cos there is protection which means it's easier to clean watermarks, bird poo, stains etc and it doesn't leave behind fine scratches which can occur if you clean it without enough water.

You have to manage your expectations in that you may need to redo the PPS possibly in a year or so and that it's not a miracle protection. Heavy stone chips, deeper scratches will still appear but at least with the protection, it doesn't eat directly into the paint.

As for shine, it's subjective but I do PPS as a protection for my paintwork and not for the shine. If there's an extra shine then it's a bonus.

Any workshop to recommend for pps?

There are a lot of PPS merchants advertised in MCF so you have a fair choice.

My recommendation is to go for one near your home cos you can always use them for car wash, upkeep etc eg. your car involved in minor accident (touch wood) where bumper change etc, need to redo PPS on that section again. Sometimes they may even help on touch ups if they have time but of course dependent on merchant good will.

Summit White!

I guess you can login to onemotoring to see if your license plate number has been assigned to you.

My SE smsed me in the morning with my license plate number.

I think you bought from an old uncle right? Lol. I saw your documents just now. Ya there will be a batch thats going to be deliver within this week.

I was wrong. It wasn't explained properly to me. $800 for both years is more than reasonable.

No problem, if you have friends buying, you know who to look for liao right? :)

Let be realistic at 70 to 100k, apart from those consumable cover in the service package there will be something need to be repair or replace.

Totally agree, every car will face this issue which I believe. Even a reliable & trustworthy TOYOTA will also face this. But on the bright side, you know your 70-100k servicing cost is capped. Isn't that good news? :)
