Turbocharged

after secured COE, how long dealer must register the car? within 6 months?

Yes, you can drag on to collect the car within six months after securing COE.

Helps when your existing car is going to be scrapped and makes more sense to use it to the last day, rather than trade in at paper value.

If these are valid concerns for ALL drivers, then how can it be the case of no more worries? Kenna kantong $50k for a piece of paper still got to worry this n that, worth it meh?

About financially ready, just curious how many Drivers here ever downgraded their car in their life - I mean when u hv spare money u always buy bigger n better cars, for what? How to save?

What really matters is how you yourself spend and live within your means. If you can comfortably afford an upgrade to your quality of life, why not? Your family will also benefit from the upgrade isn't it?

Just my 2cents.

Mine also 1st bid, failed, hahaha. Wait for another round, hope they secure for all their buyers next round.

Yeah. I'm not too concerned about it. There is always another bidding 2 weeks later.

I missed by a small margin though.

Don't worry bros, Kah delivers, I always say..

This round, and maybe even the next one will be pretty hot..

That's what I thought. Even the se also say always get.

But 3rd coe bidding still didn't get. And seeing coe going up now, worried they will return the deposit and I have to buy at higher price

Hi guys, TC managed to secure my coe yesterday at the 1st attempt, after booking QQ 1.2 on 18 Mar. My agreement was non-G 6 bids but to my surprise, they bid quite aggressively to secure it. Should be getting my ride in a wk's time. [:p]

Maybe they are saving their ammo, knowing that the last few rounds was really hot..

Keep the faith bro..

A place to retire?

Try M'sia - Sarawak, or China - Yunnan...

yunnan had the big earthquake 1-2 years back right.

I think best avoid places with typhoon or earthquake.

Frankly, all these comments about @Philipkee shouldn't have topped up all comes pouring AFTER the COE Bidding Results are finalised. No pipsqueek was heard BEFORE the COE Bidding started.

Come on guys, unless you are the ones paying for the top-up, there is really no real value add in giving an opinion on something after the fact.

Who can guarantee that the COE premium will drop to 40k and KMC will raise their  bid by the 6th bid if he did not top up.......please kee chiu! -_-

If no one kee chiu, please let's all join hands to congratulate those who got their COE in the last few rounds (including me [blush] ) in contributing to the government coffers  [grouphug]

:D

you got COE, but when's your beloved GLC coupe coming?

Mine's the SUV....still got kid to haul around although I prefer the Coupe overall shape and stance better.

My SE say mid April can get. I suspect shipment already on the way.

Hey bro

Yunnan is a huge place :)

Yes there are some places more prone to natural disasters but Kunming is not bad and you can live in Shilin near Kunming.

The golf resort is one of the best in Asia. I don't play golf but I have been there a few times. Check it out cheers

Personally, to prevent myself from overspending on cars which are ultimately depreciating assets in singapore.

I limit myself to something that's an incremental upgrade from the one i had before. At this stage i life, i don't think i'm that financially stable to say i can afford premium contis, hence i just drive a jap executive sedan.

Maybe when my kids are older and in my early 40s, then i'll go up the chain then. Ultimately cars are not my priority in life, though we do all enjoy cars here in our own ways in this forum.

I'm perfectly ok to downgrade to a small car when I'm going to near retirement.

My dad bought his first ever car at the age of 50 in 1998.

Cheers.
