Just like apps stores rating

A single 5 star rating doesn't meant anything. Need the law of average to apply.

A reliable rating should be more than 20.

I know nuts about wine but can tell good ones from cheapo ones on discount I get at supermarket.

Relatives from extended families love wine and usually would bring along $70 ups per bottle kind at gatherings.

Personally love Wolf Blass yellow Riesling. Used to be under $20 but I think itâs over $30 now.

Not many people like Riesling.

Personally I like dry Riesling as aperitif or thirst quenchers.

It's quite difficult to find for most brands.

Red wines and coffee leaves stain on teeth that is like impossible to remove unless opt for tooth whitening.

Drink white wines remove this problem.

Nice....

Please share more of your wines.

With Saint Emilion and Grand Cru. Not difficult to get 4 ratings in Vivino.

Not really a port person, only drink occasionally. I also ever bought one at Changi duty free.

Need to have a topic on something I love.

Find it odd after so long there is no thread about wines.

Not wine investment crap

Not about cheap wines

But wines that you love

Wines that you want share

It can be Chateau Lafite Rothschild 1982.

Or boast how many Romanee Conti you have pour in the basin.

Or share the wine and food pairing that makes your day.

Best deal and bang for buck vino.

Here is MCF where 90% are drivers/riders.  [drivingcar]

Wines and driving cannot mix together. :a-noway:

That's why no wines or liquors here .... :XD:  :XD:  :XD:

I like to drink red wine too. usually 3 glasses in a week, at home.

i largely agree with @ash2017 in that wine is highly dependent on individual taste.

Expensive doesn't mean it's good.

Recommended by "experts" doesn't necessary mean i'd like it.

Of all the variants, my favourite type is Shiraz.

but different Shiraz from different years from different brands taste differently (duh! :P).

So far, i like the Shiraz from this brand called "19 Crimes". Easily available from NTUC. when on sale it can go down to $19.50.

Usual price is about $24 to $26 i think?

but this wine, once opened, must be finished in a day or 2. the taste changes and becomes flat after a few days.. or is this common for all red wines? the bottle uses a normal cap and is not corked.

All wines will change once opened. You can buy those stopper with vacuum pump to remove air to keep for a bit longer. But as in all wines, they change with oxygen.

19 crime should be a blend from different vineyards. So it can be different in every batch.

You referring to this blend? I don't like this taste.
