Look at this steep angle of attack, this is not a capability, it is a design flaw that may lead to a stall, and the MCAS is exactly to counter this problem.

A fighter jet could do a steep angle of attack(vertical climb) because of it small size and weight plus its strong jet, but a commercial aircraft would lose its lift and plunge immediately because of its much heavier weight and much less powerful engine to weight ratio.

Thats even worse because not only do they have flight control issues (MCAS), engine also got problem.  [confused]

 

The irony is that the flight control issues were caused by the attempt to use software to overcome the more powerful engine in the same airframe.
