Cos these are the countries sg rely on cheap manpower. Countries like india, indonesia, philippines, malaysia. All these are returnee to their job as IT, manufacturing, services even maid. There were some cases of maid returning from indo, philippines and india. Simply because sg lack of manpower, current employer want their employee back. Many are still stuck overseas

Yeah they managed to get entry approval to go back sg. Thats why in my other post mentioned liao, short of manpower, a number of employers appeal to MOM for entry approval when they get rejected. Because they cant hire new worker and need old experienced worker back

the larger question should be, those countries with higher number of Covid19 imported in should bee moderated or at least , put in place a different measure ? 

Perhaps 3 weeks at the departing country ?

Think those with high cases should quarantine 3 weeks at least. There was a case from india quarantined 2 weeks come out walk walk and about go back india test become positive

and these candidates demand higher salary, less working hour, no/less related working exp and have alot requests.

 

theres reason why some employers prefer to hire foreigners over local. Also those employers i know that managed to hire singaporean most work less than 6 months. Some even went mia after first day of work. Even during my school days, my lecturers advised me to go for job hopping on my career future. This is the last thing employer want to see. Spend time and money to train and end up jump to another ship once they good at their work

Well, hiring a person is not like getting married. So once married and you stray, the spouse gets 50%. So its a two way street.

Once hire, how does the company get the person to stay ? Of course the straight forward answer is, treat with respect and empathy and genuine honesty and transparencies.  

But even if you give the employee a golden handcuff, like one of the big medical company once told me, they offering candidates 1.5 time more than what the average pay package , So that the employee keep their head down and work and not look at the jobs ad for the next 3 years of their life.

So the employee really work as no one in the market pays more then that. But the appraisal is a bell curve, so its quite siong.

The science behind having a efficient and effective workforce is difficult.

even some company have fortnight 5pm free flow of liquor as happy hour, the turn over is still there. Just less.

Totally agree. We knew it will happen, so we should take proactive steps. Family members should restrict first.

not worried about the Gen Y and Z, They been thru tough times of jobless or trouble in getting hired.

And the disillusion of study hard get a degree and your journey starts from there prep talk .

So they wise up and start getting focus on doing what in their mind is the right thing to do.

Of course there are the weird ones that does not know what they want and fall into the trap of what their friends wants.

Not true .. there are many who were hired on the scheme.. just need to check 3 things to qualify.

1. Jobless for 6 months n not driving grab

2. meet the minimum qualifications be it o level dip or degree

3. within the age group .. those more then 60 will probably have less chances
