I can see Gini as a hero for Barca.

The 2 goals he scored against them will be his new role

same as for Holland under Koeman.

Playing behind the striker setting up goals

and running in late and scoring for them.

Like a Gerrard or Lampart and be the hero.

Can see why he cannot wait to join them.

We are fast becoming Braca's feeder club. But the Catalans know they are getting winners, all our transfers(LS) do help them win Silverware,s so good that even (PC) when out on loan, still help their Bavarian friend to win the big ear.

We do need to renew the team a matter of time, maybe Gini departure will give more chance to Jones to feature and claim the midfield spot.

Sell now when exchange rate is favourable.

If Gini has his heart set for Barca, my take is to let him go. He has been a loyal servant for our LFC during his time here. If the lure of playing for Barca is too big for him to resist, be it. Suarez left us for Barca and see what has Barca did to him. PC another example, die die want to go and end up on loan in BM, won them the big ears but BM not willing to sign him for good.

So if Gini is certain that this is what he wants, then be it. At age 29 and to be honest, he is not one of those with the most flashy skills, I would be very surprise if he make it big in Barca. Unlike LFC, we won because everyone in the team works hard for the team.

Old boy Luis Suarez 'has agreed personal terms with Juventus' as he looks set to leave Lionel Messi to team up with Cristiano Ronaldo... and is in line for £22m pay-off from Barcelona as they want to cancel his contract.

Gini has very good close control... just that it is not obvious. I would rather keep him if FSG is not so money minded.

I think he can make it in Barca as he can adapt easily... like Suarez

Gini doesnt look very authoritative in Liverpool team... Messi is the number 1 reason for the downfall of Barca....

Didn’t mane ask wat ford players to take good care of his bro sarr last season ?...

if pool buys sarr, can’t be to replace mane right ?... that doesn’t sound right ...

if Barca sell messi for 200m, make sure they pay up 60% of that fee to us ... even in installments also accept!!!

Another way is to tag the selling price to the replacement cost... e.g. for Torres, i think we demand for 15M above his replacement cost. Newcastle wanted 35M so Chelsea has to pay 50M.

Guess if Gini goes, we can all see the rationale and probably he will be given a decent farewell.

his work is usually underrated and noticed only by those who understand the game well. Hence, last season, many pundits were actually rooting for him to be considered as the player of the season because of his game intelligence and the work rate he puts in game after game, easily one of the most consistent players in Klopp's midfield engine room.

If he does move to Barca, it will be for his own ambition purposes and we can see why.  He will more likely play the box-to-box dynamic midfielder role with less requirements to cover the defensive spaces. He could also play in the attacking forward position given the pace of La Liga is slower than the EPL. After all, he has won almost every major title with pool so he may wish to do something different as he nears the sunset years of his career.

my friend watches almost all the LFC games for last 2 seasons. he rates Gini highly. More than Henderson/Fabinho
