Too bad it's a Getgo car. At least Tribecar needs user to take and upload photos before trip and after trip.
Otherwise for whatever rental or car-sharing vehicles, it's advisable for oneself to also take date- and time-stamp photos before and after trip.

Tribecar photo upload to app is next to useless. When users dispute thousand plus dollar charges for damaged car (which they claim is not due to them), tribecar says they cannot verify the photos of the undamaged car are legit cause no timestamp.

But their own app doesnt have timestamp, and doesn't allow photo upload from phone. So users have to take photo one round in app, and one more time with timestamp with their own phone app. And tribecar advises users to keep photos for 6 weeks? Nope it is actually 6 months lol.

So for users who rent everyday can u imagine how much photo storage they need?

Thats why i dont really like to rent car from car sharing, since the car turnover rate is always quite high, if never check careful or take any photos before trip, also would not know if there is scratches or dent on the car, and which user responsible for the damage?

Renter: "I was in a hurry so I did not check and drove off!"

GetGo: "Yawn... Yeah right."

I used to rent from tribecar just to try out the different models and running some errands. Other than submitting the required photo through their platform, I also do a quick 10-15sec video by walking one round and will use the first few seconds to take a time/date stamp photo of my watch first.

To be honest, the damages is very obvious to not be noticed leh.

yeah, with insurance excess to the tune of minimum $1k - $2k, I would open eyes BIG BIG and walk around the car 5 times. :XD:
