My question would be, will price of chicken cone down?

Super Hard. Since the price already gone up . Why would they sell cheaper?

Especially when their closest rival is selling at the same price as them or even more expensive.

Not to mention the cost of feeds for chicken had not gone down at all.

since the chicken ban, our GST has gone up. and next year, hawker centre S&CC will go up. I'd be contented if chicken rice still got $3.50.

They only say alternate source to ensure consistent supply, didn't say get cheaper source😅

Those MY live chicken that comes from truck cost lower than those chickens that need to travel on truck to abbatoir, pack and frozen.....shipped in reefer container on freighters.....then truck again to warehouse..... Then to retailers.....

Chicken rice uses mainly live chicken source, maybe the pricing didn't drop even with Indonesian live chicken import....

Maybe importer earning more due to RM currency exchange.

Maybe they are also paying more for the remaining value chain in SG.

Maybe hawker paying more for utilities, labour, cleaning charges....

Live Chicken from Bintan will be more ex than Malaysia.

Need Sg truck driver + Barge.

Overall, chicken price will increase due to diversification.

exactly, its the same as egg shortage.

There are no need to fear of egg shortage even if malaysia dun sell us,

But no mention are make that all our new suppliers or source are selling higher.

Take SQ? 😅

Bcos no longer have NOL....

Or we should reclaim or create an island in south, name it Pulau Ayam. 🐔

Put all the high tech, high rise chicken farm for both meat and egg supply and become self sustainable supply, frozen stocks of 1 year supply...

Since we have sufficient stockpile of rice that can last years.

Should use MND or Mindef budget for food defence.

Nparks can buy processed chicken droppings as fertiliser.

It will be no different from shipping from Bintan.

It requires barge and Sg drivers.

Prices once up, you will not see it come down anymore. Nothing to do with where it come from. Profiting and price collusion is the only explanation. Why my shoppee item flew all the way from China is still cheap Leh?

You tell me lo.

My friend bought some bottles for product from China. Since he wants 600ml (rather than 500ml), he needs to pay USD500 for a new mould.

My friend thought it might be same price in Malaysia. He was wrong. Malaysia supplier told him to pay RM50k for the mould.
