The last I know it's also called M16. I had used AR-15 as a recruit, maybe they just change the name, after some upgrading.

AR15 is the civilian rifle. After it's adopted by US Army (probably with some enhancements/changes) it's designated M16 or M16A1. All US Army weapons are called M-(something).
