I've checked out those i-road cams from your link to the shop.

I'm considering changing dashcams in due course because my current blackvue sometimes a bit wonky already.

I'm still evaluating and checking out if it is good to have unit using internal memory instead of micro sdcard and also the file format each brand use, for easier retrieval.

Hey hey, apologies as was busy with work. Yes I installed mine and is working good. It does feels hot but should be alright.

I installed it with the 4G hardwire kit and using it with Simba Sim-Only plan. So far so good. Even basement 2 or 3 car malls car park such as Suntec city or Jurong point works fine without any glitch.

wah good to hear that...

aiyoh how come mine like super hot (like more than 40degC) after several hours in Park Guardian mode

Hmm, doesn't sound normal, cannot be so hot de lea. Maybe get your installer check the wiring.

Mine was hot too. I asked them and they said it’s like this. Kinda felt like not v reliable… 

 

did mine in jb for rm850 with wirekit

Be careful where you place your add-on/external LiPo batteries for your dashcam, if it gets too hot under repeated heat/usage-induced stress, thermal runway can occur and burn down your whole car.

just a quick update

i changed the hardwiring to another fuse (spare, 5A).. previously was connected to the brake light fuse (10A)

now after hours in Park Guardian mode, reasonably hot only (acceptable now, not like previously when it was too hot to even touch it)

Correct, live view using app is for front cam only. But honestly, don't usually use the app except to update firmware.

Thinking of installing the Omni as my Thinkware time stamp went kaput and thinkware has moved to Lok Yang! May I ask who installed for you? PM if you do not wanna share in open. Cheers.

I bought online from Dashcamsg. They provide installation on-site!

am here cos few months ago there was a video on SGRV with very clear tracking images and of a woman dumping tissues on cam car. 

so the Omni x200 is on my shortlist.

so if I want parking mode must buy with the hardware kit ? my next question is then whether I can choose do disable/enable parking mode thru the app ? not planning to get a battery pack so would like to reduce unnecessary drain on car battery.
