Not sure if the top part is called resonator? There is another part, as I mentioned, that goes deep down for about 30cm from filter box. That I couldn't remove. Now there is a hissing sound with the top part removed.

The air intake opening is now facing upwards to the hood and directly between the side of the radiator and the left headlight. There's a gap there, and I'm hoping some cool air will come in from there at high speeds. (Will try to take some photos tomorrow)

May be psychological, but as it is, my car already drives better, does feel like it's struggling less. And not very significant drop in pickup, maybe becos I light-footed. smile.gif Removing the top part is very easy, just need to remove 2 nuts. Maybe you could try and let me know if there's any improvement too? wink.gif

For the piping, are you referring to the big hole right underneath the coolant reservoir tank?

The top part above the radiator is called the resonator. There is then a link to the airbox where the filter sits.

Think you should leave the airbox as it is. The piping should run from behind the left headlight, right behind the left foglamp. [thumbsup]

"directly between the side of the radiator and the left headlight"

You've got it about right there, though its better to run piping down the gap to directly behind the left headlight, cause at idle .... hot air tends to accumulate around the radiator area and these would flush right into the airbox. Thats where the loss of torque and pickup occurs, when hot air is being sucked in from the engine compartment. [nod]

Your car should drive better as the curvy resonator is no longer there thus intake in more-or-less direct. [thumbsup][thumbsup]

Yes, the gap beside the coolant reservoir right behind the left headlight. [nod]

Done it on my Stream already ...

However, someone told me, even after bypass .. let say after a 15min drive, the Throttlebody will still get heated up due to ambient heat leh

U know the size of our hose ?

Be careful, because the place is so tight !!! My hand is not delicate enough, gotta trouble my friend.

Remember, you need a long nose plier to reach.

Baby gotta stay for 1 week of observation, so mummy is home, but not the baby [:(]

See the pictures ... the space is tight ... it'll be good if you can use both your hands....

Steady hands + Long nose pliers will help !

Just a crazy [idea] , if you can bypass cold air fr AC into the TB, so you have a cool TB all the time right!! Just use back the existing TB inlet & outlet can liow. Only problem is how to route the ac???[confused]
