  2. Was having a kopitiam discussion and someone express that a more laychay loop hole for subletting is not explore. That is to rent the fate first n then do paperwork of adding more people into the flat via the hdb updates for people staying there. Then the main tanant move out n collect rental income for the room. Is it a must for the main tanant to still stay there if the original tanant can move out and collect more rental from subletting the rooms out?

  4. Noticed recently in Sgcarmart that some cars that was listed selling for $50K will suddenly have prices drastically increased to $80K and after a week will have status SOLD. I suspect dealer raised price on purpose so buyers can then take a 100% loan for the car ( 60% of $80K = $50K ). Is this a legal loophole for the MAS Restrictions ?
  5. Heya guys... my mom is thinking of watching vcd on the go using the cefiro in dash lcd monitor.. and i heard from NEC sometime ago that can jus go to some audio car shop and let them bypass the switch to let the monitor be on all the time... and something where they install a switch where diffrent positions give you diff things like.... rear camera fully on.. or totally off.. or lcd monitor can still be on when foorbrake is off.... that kind... can advice? 6. My car comes with immobiliser and central lock. So there is no sound when locked and only a few flashes of the signal lights. I will like to install a 2 way LCD alarm. I was told that in order to install aftermarket alarm with the immobiliser, i have to install the transponder bypass kit.... My question is, how does this transponder bypass kit work? Does it render the immobiliser useless in order to use the new alarm system OR It just merge the immobiliser function with the new alarm system to work in harmony? Thanks!

    Coolant bypass

ok, a member showed me this DIY coolant bypass (throttle body). seems easy to do i must say. any else tried? any feedback?
  8. Read numerous times on the internet about this modification, bypassing coolant to the throttle body to prevent heating up of the throttle body. 'Although the throttle body will eventually heat up due to the heat transfer from the engine, it will be considerably cooler than before.' Any MCF bros tried this mod before, can anyone advise on the effectively?
  9. the 2nd day after i told my car back from workshop, i went out for drinks with a friend. while i was heading home in one of the LDP highway in petaling jaya, there was a gen 2 and Camry over take me like a flash. me and my friend was thinking whether follow them or chase them, is about 5 to 600 meters away from us... started to chase them, but Camry went home after the 800 meters. so, chase the gen2, is not easy, (my car km/h meter is not functioning) i over take him at 6000 rpm and around 0.8 bar of boost... is a hard time to get him near. Suspect the gen 2 is driving around 180km/h more and less. is really fast.....

  12. Anyone here has done it? Does it prevent the throttle body heating the air it is taking in. Or does it prevent your car from warming up properly?
  13. Will doing a coolant bypass mod to an Altis void any warranty or give any problems at the my next 5K servicing ?
  14. Is there a throttle coolant feed to cars imported to hot climate countries like ours and has anyone done a bypass as this feed is meant for winter weathers only. How's the performace after the simple mod? anyone?
  15. This was discussed previously, but I finally got a really nice pic. The throttlebody is shown here. The objective is to remove the hose to the 2 small arrows and connect them together. Thut coolant does not flow into the bottom of the throttlebody to heat it up. Next, remove the electrical connector (big fat red arrow), as it powers the motor to circulate the coolant. Simple as that ... and best of all, totally reversible. P.S: Each vehicle TB differs
  16. Check this URL out! http://www.2003corolla.org/diy.php?diy=16 Do u ever wonder when u start up ur car from cold and drive off for the 1st 5 min, it feels more powerful until the engine warms up? Taken from the site:- "This mod will make the car drive and have power like it does in the first 5 minutes when you start it in the morning. It will run like that all day."
