hee... wet.

no particular reason, but dun you think its only reasonable, cos you dun have so many towels... and even if u use dry towel at the start, somewhere along the drying, you'll still have to wring ur towel dry cos its wet now? [dizzy]

wet also because after ur wash-off (assuming u use pail water), you might have soap residue. [:/]

U gotta wet the newspaper a bit...

Or after a rainy day, when the car is wet, you can wipe it with a slightly damn newspaper followed by a dry one to totally clean it..

I did it on my glass and the body....so far so good. Best if you do it with care.

Alternatively, i use old windscreen wiper to wipe of all the excess water from the body and the glass before using cloth to dry the car...

noticed that a wet towel (wring dry) will leave trails of fine droplets of water...

a dry one of course will not but it's the same once it gets damp...

I use a variety of cloths...

cotton t-shirt for initial wash, incl tyres.

chamois for drying and wiping off water stains.

ecowipes for windows and interior (dash-board n seats).

ex-face towel for spreading polish/wax

another cotton t-shirt for wiping the polish/wax off.

At end of the day, I have at least 5 pc of damp cloths in the boot. Of course must wash clean, else will have a funny smell.

But the damp cloth is good when you just want to wipe off dirt and re-clean the windows.

Chamois is by far the best material I've ever used. But as Toybabe put it, it's got to be wet, else you'd be scrubbing the paintwork off.

just my sharing..smile.gif

Turbocharged

Can't remember the price exactly, but i've seen them at from ACE, Autobacs, Stamford (Lok Yang). Got mine from Carrefour, but they changes their brand of chamois often, and its only available in regular size there.
