Hiya.. those bros out there who has a piggy back ECU - let's share your experiences.

My own - I have a Buddy Club Racing Spec B piggy back - features :

(1) control air/fuel mix

(2) control auto trans shift

Results (with proper dyno tuning and computerised adjustment of air/fuel mix) :

(1) On crank HP improve from stock 110bhp to 125bhp

(2) On crank torque gains cross the board of >10%

(3) No increase in petrol consumption in spite of improved performance

"blue fin" from Superchips? Interesting.

BTW, ur new ride is Auto or Manual? Do piggyback effective on Auto cars?

Ur $800 include installation and dyno or tuning?

Let us know what is the effect on ur new car. [thumbsup]

I only buy Manual cars, wouldn't be owning an Auto in the near future sly.gifsly.gifsly.gif

The blue fin is not a piggy back but a program over riding the stock settings & the device can also be use as a diagnostic tool. Here's more on blue fin: http://www.superchips.co.uk/bluefin/why.htm

There's no need for dyno tuning sly.gifsly.gifsly.gif attach is the dyno results from Superchips on Focus 1.6L Zetec engine

Can I say that Blue Fi is specially for Ford and some chosen cars only?

How do you feel the effects on your ride?

As compare to piggyback, which is more reliable and accurate?

I think most makes that are selling in UK may have the Blue Fin available nod.gifnod.gifnod.gif they even have it for American muscle cars sly.gifsly.gifsly.gif

have yet to do it, will wait till end of the year & see how sly.gifsly.gifsly.gif

For blue fin, it's already done dyno & tuning for each specific car makes & model. As for piggyback, it'll depend on the 'skills' of the tuner nod.gifPosted ImagePosted Image

[laugh] That would be nice! [sly]

And I wonder if Superchips dyno at wheel or crank.. if it's the former then Ford must have really under declared man...

well, my car is 5-speed auto - it works ! usually piggy back works on air/fuel - so it's in the combustion chamber and not your tranny. Although must be careful when boosting too much - will certainly put more stress on the transmission.
