Hey cj, you sure it's the AVS db and not the Aspec db they were quoting you? When I was checking, aspec db was around $80 but not AVS db. Which shop quoted you $80? Next time I change, I'll check them out.

Hi Steven,

If you have decided to go for Bridgestone GR80, i can recommend you to go to

Eng Seng & Co

10 Ang Mo Kio Ind Pk 2A #01-11

Tel : 6481 1885

Mr Tang.

I've got to highlight to you that you need to call him and let him indent the tyre for you before you go down. His price is cheaper than CAS.

CAS got 15% discount? I think they include wheel alignment too. However, I don't know how they align, on-wheel or off-wheel. Somemore got link points.

Tyre is generally okay for normal use. When new is quiet, after abt 2 mths a little noise starts to appear, grip wise if not too aggressive during cornering, is safe, Road feel is good and wet traction is considered slightly above average.

I had the tyres for about 4 months b4 I change caR. uNABLE TO COMMENTS FURTHER due to lack of time spent with the tyre.

To me, Potenza GIII are a bit higher end then the GR-80s as the GR-80s are more targetted at comfort.

I used to prefer GIII until I saw BFG.. Kinda like the price for it and the threads looks good! Deep deep grooves! [sly]

If you really want performance (for bridgestone), S-03 will be the way to go. But the bottomline still applies: there are no performance yet quiet tyres.
